Chapter 17: Alicia, the Interstellar Guardian

Kyle's spaceship flew side by side with Alicia's in the vast universe. The surrounding stars were like bright gemstones inlaid on the black sky, exuding a mysterious and charming light. Inside the spaceship, Kyle's eyes were full of curiosity and anticipation. He looked at Alicia beside him from time to time, and his desire to know the secrets of the stardust grew stronger.

Alicia was wearing a light blue robe. The material of the robe was soft and flowing, as if it was woven from the nebulae in the universe. It swayed slightly with her movements, giving off a dreamy luster. Her long golden hair hung over her shoulders like a waterfall, and each strand of hair glistened with a faint light, as if kissed by the sun. Her blue eyes were deep and bright, like the endless starry sky, hiding countless stories and wisdom, making people involuntarily sink into them. Under her straight nose, her lips curved slightly, with a gentle smile, giving people a feeling of being bathed in spring breeze. She also wore some delicate accessories. A necklace inlaid with strange crystals hung around her fair neck. The crystals emitted a soft light, as if echoing some kind of power in her body. The bracelet on her wrist was carved with complex and mysterious symbols, which seemed to tell ancient legends.

"Alicia, you said you've been guarding the stardust power. Then you must know a lot about it," Kyle finally couldn't help but speak, his voice with a hint of urgency and a bit of childlike curiosity.

Alicia slightly turned her head, and her gentle gaze fell on Kyle. She gently tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and nodded with a smile. At that moment, she thought of her long years of guardianship, and a complicated emotion welled up in her heart. She knew Kyle's curiosity and desire for the stardust power very well, and also understood the heavy responsibility of guiding him. "Yes, Kyle. The mystery of the stardust power has a long history. Its existence is even earlier than the birth of many galaxies," Alicia thought to herself. This young man was unprepared for the secrets to be revealed. She hoped these knowledge wouldn't be too heavy for him.

Kyle leaned forward slightly, listening intently, his eyes fixed on Alicia's lips, for fear of missing any word. "So where did the stardust power come from? I only know that I accidentally acquired the ability to control it, but I know nothing about its origin," he said, unconsciously clenching his fists as if trying to grasp the secrets that were about to be revealed.

Alicia let out a soft sigh, and her eyes became a little distant, as if recalling ancient past events. "At the beginning of the universe, a grand and mysterious explosion created everything, and the stardust was one of the products of that explosion. It contains the most primitive energy and information of the universe and has endless potential. Over the long years, the stardust has scattered all over the universe, influencing the birth of various planets and the evolution of life," Alicia said as she thought to herself that these ancient stories carried the fate of the universe. Now she had to tell them to this young man bit by bit, hoping he could shoulder this responsibility. Her fingers gently tapped on the armrest of the seat, as if recalling those distant scenes, with a focused and solemn expression.

Kyle was fascinated. The magnificent scene of the Big Bang appeared in his mind, with countless stardust flying in the chaos and gradually condensing into planets and life. "It's incredible! Then why is there a prophecy that I'm the son of the stardust? What's the relationship between this and the stardust power?" he said, gesturing with his hands as if trying to express his doubts more vividly.

Alicia's gaze fell on Kyle, with a hint of scrutiny and expectation in her eyes. She slightly frowned and seriously considered how to explain all this to Kyle. "This prophecy has been passed down for a long time. It foreshadow when the universe is facing a major crisis, a person chosen by the stardust will appear. This person will have the ability to control the stardust power and shoulder the heavy responsibility of saving or destroying the universe. And you, Kyle, are that chosen son of the stardust," Alicia said, looking at Kyle's shocked expression. She was a little worried that he would be overwhelmed by this mission, but she also knew that Kyle had to face it. She reached out and gently patted Kyle's shoulder, giving him silent encouragement.

Kyle was shocked. A sense of unprecedented mission welled up in his heart, but at the same time, there was also deep doubt. "But I'm just an orphan who grew up on a remote planet. Why me? And how can I shoulder such a heavy responsibility? I'm still not very proficient in controlling the stardust power," he said, frowning, with a hint of worry and confusion in his eyes, and his hands unconsciously clenched and then loosened.

Alicia gently patted Kyle's shoulder and gave him an encouraging look. "The choice of fate is often mysterious and unpredictable, Kyle. Perhaps it's precisely because you grew up in a difficult environment, with a tenacious will and a kind heart, that you were favored by the stardust. As for controlling the stardust power, it takes time and practice, and I will help you," she silently vowed in her heart that no matter how difficult it was, she would help Kyle grow and enable him to cope with future challenges. Her eyes were full of firmness and warmth, as if transmitting a kind of power to Kyle.

Kyle looked at Alicia gratefully, and the confusion in his heart was slightly reduced. "Then besides the uses I know now, does the stardust power have other more powerful abilities?" There was a glimmer of excitement in his eyes, and he couldn't wait to know the answer.

Alicia nodded, and a glimmer of light flashed in her eyes. "The abilities of the stardust power are beyond imagination. It can not only be used for attack and defense, but also to repair damaged planets and even travel through time and space."

"Travel through time and space?" Kyle opened his mouth in surprise. "This is really amazing! I really want to learn these abilities quickly so that I can better deal with the Interstellar Federation and solve all the mysteries," he said excitedly, pacing back and forth in the cockpit, waving his hands in the air as if he had already mastered these magical powers.

However, Alicia's expression became serious. She slightly narrowed her eyes, with a hint of worry in her eyes, staring closely at Kyle, hoping he could understand the seriousness of the matter. "Kyle, powerful power is often accompanied by great responsibility and risk. Before you master these abilities, you must be cautious and restrained. The Interstellar Federation has been searching for the stardust power, and they won't let you go easily. We must be careful," she said, knowing very well the means of the Interstellar Federation and worrying that Kyle might be in danger because of his youth and impulsiveness. Her tone became a little heavy, and her speech speed also slowed down a bit. She said word by word, "Every time you use the stardust power, it may attract the attention of the Interstellar Federation. We can't be careless at all."

Kyle nodded heavily and remembered Alicia's words in his heart. "I understand, Alicia. I won't let you down, and I won't let the stardust power fall into the hands of bad people," he said, his eyes becoming firm, and he clenched his fists as if swearing to himself and to the universe.

At this time, the mysterious person who had been sitting quietly aside suddenly spoke, "Alicia, what you said is important, but perhaps what Kyle needs most now is a practical exercise in using the stardust power. We can't just stay on theory."

Alicia slightly nodded, agreeing with the mysterious person's words in her heart. She raised her hand and gently stroked the crystal on her necklace, thinking about a suitable training place. "You're right. Kyle, there's a 废弃的 asteroid base ahead. There's no danger there. We can conduct some simple training there to let you better feel the use of the stardust power," Alicia thought that this training was crucial for Kyle. She hoped to let him master the stardust power more proficiently through this and also prepare for the upcoming challenges. She turned to look at Kyle, her eyes full of encouragement. "You have to believe in your ability. I will always be by your side to guide you."

As soon as Kyle heard this, he immediately became energetic. "Really? That's great! I've been wanting to try for a long time."
