Chapter 18: Journey to the Ruins

Inside Alicia's spaceship, the soft lights shone on everyone, adding a touch of warmth to this sci - fi - filled space. Kyle sat beside the pilot's seat, his eyes full of excitement and anticipation. He looked at Alicia from time to time, waiting for her further instructions. Alicia stood aside, her fingers gently sliding across the console, bringing up an ancient star map. The star map was filled with all kinds of strange symbols and markings, and one location was specially marked, emitting a faint blue light.

"Kyle, look here," Alicia said, pointing at the blue - flashing dot on the star map. "According to the information I have, there is an ancient ruin in this place. It has a close connection with the stardust power. The secrets about the stardust we're looking for might be hidden there."

Kyle leaned closer to the star map, carefully examining the mysterious mark. His eyes sparkled with curiosity. "Really? Then let's go quickly! I can't wait to figure all this out." His voice was filled with uncontrollable excitement, and his hands unconsciously clenched.

The mysterious person, who had been silent all this time, slowly stood up and walked to the star map. His gaze swept across the star map, and his brows furrowed slightly, as if he was thinking about something. After a while, he said, "I've heard of this ruin. But legend has it that there are all kinds of unknown energy fields and mysterious guardians around it. We must be fully prepared."

When Kyle heard the mysterious person's words, his heart tightened slightly, but he quickly regained his determination. "I'm not afraid of any danger. The mysterious person stared at the energy cloud and said, "This might be one of the energy fields around the ruin. We can't rush in. Let's observe it first."

Alicia stopped the spaceship outside the energy cloud and activated various detection instruments to scan the energy cloud. The scan results showed that the energy fluctuations inside the energy cloud were very complex, and there were some unknown forms of energy. Rushing in might cause the spaceship to be damaged by the energy impact.

"It seems we need to find a way to go around it," Alicia said, frowning.

Kyle looked at the energy cloud, and an idea suddenly occurred to him. "Maybe I can use the stardust power to detect the inside of the energy cloud and see if there's a safe passage." he said.

The mysterious person and Alicia looked at each other and nodded. "Be careful, Kyle," Alicia warned.

Kyle closed his eyes and concentrated on mobilizing the stardust power. The stardust power flowed slowly in his body and converged in his eyes. He opened his eyes, and the scene in front of him changed. He saw some faint lines inside the energy cloud. These lines seemed to represent the areas with relatively weak energy.

"I saw some possible safe passages!" Kyle exclaimed excitedly. He told Alicia what he saw, and Alicia carefully controlled the spaceship to move forward along those safe passages according to Kyle's description.

With the help of the stardust power, the spaceship successfully passed through the energy cloud. Kyle let out a sigh of relief. He felt that he had become more proficient in using the stardust power.

"Well done, Kyle," Alicia praised, a relieved smile on her face.

However, before they could be happy for too long, the alarm of the spaceship suddenly rang. "What's the danger this time?" Kyle asked nervously.

Alicia checked the screen, and her face became serious. "A group of mysterious aircrafts have appeared ahead. They're flying towards us, and they don't seem to be friendly."

Kyle clenched his fists, and a fighting spirit welled up in his heart. "Whatever they are, we're not afraid!" He prepared to mobilize the stardust power again to meet the upcoming challenge.

The mysterious person analyzed the situation calmly, "The energy fluctuations of these aircrafts are very strange. Let's not attack them first and see what their intentions are."

As the mysterious aircrafts got closer, Kyle could see what they looked like. These aircrafts were black, shaped like huge bats, and their wings were flashing with a strange light. They circled around the spaceship, as if observing it.

"What are they doing?" Kyle asked in confusion.

Suddenly, one of the aircrafts shot a blue beam towards the spaceship. Kyle reacted quickly and mobilized the stardust power to form a shield around the spaceship. The beam hit the shield, splashing out a shower of sparks, and the spaceship shook slightly.

"It seems they're not friendly!" Kyle said, his eyes filled with anger.

"Don't be impulsive, Kyle. Let's try to communicate with them first," Alicia said. She opened the spaceship's communication channel and tried to send a peace signal to those aircrafts.

However, those aircrafts didn't respond. Instead, they launched another attack. This time, more aircrafts fired beams towards the spaceship. Kyle concentrated and continuously strengthened the shield while looking for a chance to counter - attack.

"This can't go on like this. We must find a way to get rid of them," the mysterious person said.

Kyle looked at those aircrafts, and an idea suddenly came to him. "I can use the stardust power to interfere with their flight systems." he said.

Kyle closed his eyes and concentrated the stardust power in his hands. He waved his hands, and an invisible energy wave spread towards those aircrafts. Under the interference of the stardust power, the flight of those aircrafts became unstable. Their wings began to shake, and their speed slowed down.

"It worked!" Kyle shouted excitedly.

Alicia took the opportunity to control the spaceship and accelerated forward, getting rid of the pursuit of those mysterious aircrafts.

"Kyle, you're getting better and better," Alicia said, her eyes full of approval.

Kyle smiled and said, "It's all thanks to your help."

After some twists and turns, the spaceship finally arrived at the planet where the ruin was located. The surface of this planet was covered by a thick layer of fog, making it impossible to see what was below.

"This is the place," Alicia said, a hint of anticipation in her eyes.

Kyle looked at the planet, feeling both nervous and excited. He knew that the answers about the stardust power might be on this mysterious planet. He was about to step into an unknown world and face new challenges. "Let's go down!" he said firmly.

Alicia nodded and controlled the spaceship to land slowly on the planet. The spaceship landed on a desolate plain, surrounded by huge rocks and strange plants. These plants were distorted in shape and emitted a faint blue light, giving people a mysterious feeling.

Kyle, Alicia, and the mysterious person got out of the spaceship and set foot on this mysterious land. Kyle took a deep breath and felt the surrounding atmosphere. He could feel that this place was filled with mysterious power, as if it was calling to him.

"The ruin should be in this area. Let's look for it," Alicia said.
