5. Coincidence

The carriage halted in front of the large castle after over an hour ride and Sage jumped off after Lucian who helped her like a gentle man.

He ordered a servant to take her to his quarters while he goes to meet with his father..

Sage followed the servant to Lucian's quarters and the minute they arrived at the quarters she was amazed at how large and simple the quarters were.

She walked around in the living room and walked into a room.

With its simple but classic designs, sage could tell that the room was Lucian's and she asked the servant to take her luggages into the next room as she wasn't sure whether or not Lucian would like for her to stay in the same bedroom with him.

She settled in her room and her eyes caught on a garden ful of flowers outside through the window and she immediately walked out of the room and down the stairs to the garden…

The minute she arrived at the garden she began to sniff in the flowers and she placed her favorite red rose behind her ear.

"Who are you?"

A deep voice asked behind her making her volt in fear and the rose fell to get ground.

She turned towards the direction of the voice and her jaw dropped when she found out who it was..

"Lord Alden..I just wanted to see the flowers, nothing else…!" Sage said with her hands trembling slightly and her head bent towards the ground.

Being the first son of the crestthane royal family, Alden was known to be as ruthless as Lucian only that Lucian had more mystery to his name.

Alden walked closer to her and raised her head with her chin.

"I said who are you..?" Alden asked again with his deadly eyes piercing into Sage's soul as the man of destruction that he truly was..

"I…"

"She's my wife! Is there any problem, Alden?" Lucian replied before Sage could.

Safe turned behind her to see Lucian and she was glad that he would save her from Alden.

He walked to her immediately and pulled her away from Alden then he looked Alden in the eye for a brief minute before turning away and walking off still holding Sage tightly.

Alden watched as Lucian pulled Sage away and he was quite shocked to find out that Lucian actually married someone after all his reserved behaviors but he was more anxious to find out who Sage was so he turned around and left with his hands in his side pockets.

"I want to know who's the girl my little bro married..get me every detail and I'll get her from him!" He said to his secretary who followed behind him.

He recalled Sage's tender face and a gentle yet devilish smile curved on his face and he began to analyze his plan on how he would be able to get Sage from Lucian.

His first plan was - to kill Lucian!

Lucian pulled Sage into the living room and she winced at the pain on her wrist after he let her go.

"I told you not to step foot out of this quarter, and now tell me why you did, huh..tell me?" Lucian asked, his face showed anger for the first time.

"I..I..uhm.." 

Sage looked pale and scared as she stared at Lucian short of words.

She didn't know what to say and the dreadful memories of her past came rushing back as she had thought that she would finally be free, but with Lucian's attitude she felt that her freedom was not guaranteed.

Lucian sighed to calm himself down and glanced at her one more time then he turned to leave without a word.

"Oh God, why is my life like this?" Sage asked herself immediately after Lucian walked out.

She walked to the window and sat on a sofa that was close to it to see the happenings of the outside as she couldn't be there just like when she was in the hell of a castle back in Atlanta.

'But this is going to be an even scarier hell because it is way larger than father's castle' She muttered inwardly.

Her lips curved into a sad smile and she wished she could be away from everyone and just have a normal life.

She got off the sofa after spending two hours watching the boring guards at the entrance of the castle and decided to explore in the quarters.

She found a room with a large iron door and she wondered what could be inside..

Her curiosity took the best of her and she pushed the door to open..

But apparently it didn't and she peeped into the key hole only to see a desk with an open book that seemed to be the type witches use for spells as she had watched in movies.

She straightened up in shock and rushed back to the living room.

Her heart continued to beat in a rapid motion and she sat on a sofa to rest for a while.

She hoped that Lucian would return back as she became quite scared being alone in an unfamiliar place.

While waiting for Lucian, she fell asleep..but Lucian didn't return back till late night.

Her thoughts went to Lucian and she wondered where he was and why he wasn't back from meeting with the king.

Meanwhile, Lucian was sitting at a bar with Roger, his closest companion and confidant.

They sat in a little crowd with other men at a table while the music playing in the bar made the atmosphere more intensely lustful as the lustful men glanced occasionally at the dancing scriper ladies..

Analysing and contemplating on which one of them to choose..

A group of ladies danced their way towards Roger and Lucian but Lucian didn't seem to find interest in anyone of them even though he knew that he had to feed his inner demon before it loses control.

He randomly picked one of the ladies and they walked into a room at the back of the bar.

"Strip now!" He ordered and the lady stripped off the little clothes she has in her but her naked body didn't seem to arouse Lucian.

She waited for him to take off his clothes and take her in like a real devil but…he did nothing.

"What is it? Or do you like it with clothes on?" The lady cat walked towards him but still Lucian didn't even move towards her.

He was trying to speak to his inner demon to awaken but it didn't listen and kept rejecting.

He got angry and immediately grabbed the lady, then he threw her on the bed to see if his demon would get hungry and awaken..but still it didn't!

He forced in his rod into the lady's home and she let out a large scream in pain but Lucian didn't care..

He was only after satisfying his demon so it wouldn't get huny when he was with Sage, but still it didn't awaken.

He got irritated and pulled out, then he walked out of the room to meet with Roger, who was busy with three ladies surrounding him..

Lucian pulled him away from them and dragged him outside.

"Dude.. what's wrong?" Roger asked in shock as he feel aback when Lucian pulled him from his ladies.

"There's a big problem!" Lucian replied.

"What is that? What's the problem?" Roger asked.

"I can't seem to awaken my demon.. what do you think can be the problem?" Lucian asked as he ran his hands in his long hair.

"What..?" Roger exclaimed. "That's huge!" 

"Yeah, I know. What should I do?" Lucian asked.

"Have you marked anyone?" Roger asked.

"No, I.." Lucian paused to think and he remembered that night's occurrence.

"I think I did..but it was a big mistake, I think it was a woman I bit that night." Lucian replied.

Lucian couldn't believe what he had done and what this coincidence would b

ring forth.

"We have to find out..and fast!" Roger said and the two men walked into the carriage to return back to the palace..
