Lucian walked into the living room and walked into his bedroom to find Sage sleeping like a baby.
He moved slowly not to wake her up and laid beside her on the bed to get some rest.
As he closed his eyes a clear image of sage popped in his head. She was dressed in a long white gown and in that minute his demon awoke.
He wondered why the sight of Sage would awaken his demon and the hot sensation in his body increased every minute.
He rushed into the bathroom and sat in the bathtub full of cold water to calm himself down, but it didn't seem to work..
He tried other possible means to tame his demon but nothing worked so he lit a cigarette and walked out of the room to the living room.
The next morning when Sage woke up, Lucian was gone..
He had already left with Roger to meet with a witch as he needed to find out what was wrong with his demon.
The witch gave to him a portion he would use to locate his mark and then he would find the woman he had marked by mistake.
They returned back from the witch's spell home and instead of returning to the palace they went to the bar to discuss with Lucian's search team on their progress as Lucian didn't want to see Sage just yet.
…
Sage sat bored on a sofa and she wondered if Lucian had returned last night.
She pouted her lips and stood up, then her eyes caught on the large iron door where she sighted a magic book through the keyhole and she rushed away immediately not wanting to know what next she would see there..
Then she walked into her room and sat on the comfy bed, then she picked up the picture from her bag and other things she had gotten from her father's closet.
She looked at the files and found the phone number of one of her mother's siblings and she searched for a telephone to make contact with the person and luckily she found one in a drawer.
She immediately took the telephone back to the bed and she stared at the numbers on the photo file before dialing the numbers one by one.
The telephone ringed for a while before the line got connected and a woman's voice spoke from the other line, "Who's this?"
"Hi, um..am I on to Lisa?" Sage asked.
"Yes, how may I help you?" The woman replied.
"I called to ask you some questions about someone who was close to you a long time ago." Sage said and paused to hear the woman's reply.
"Okay, go ahead!" The woman on the other line replied and Sage smiled brightly with her excitement full to get brim.
She was confident that she would finally be able to find out the truth about her mother.
She cleared her throat slightly and continued.
"I wanted to ask if you remember Zelda and her relationship with king Leon of Atlanta?" Sage said and her question seemed to aggravate the lady because she suddenly sparked.
"I don't know who Zelda is, please do not call this line anymore. It must be a wrong number you called." And with that the call was aborted.
Sage fell aback due to the woman's sudden change of tone and she picked up the picture to check the number she had dialed and it was exactly the number she had called with no mistake.
But she wondered why the woman suddenly changed her tone upon hearing her mother's name..
…
Lisa placed the telephone back in it's place hurriedly as though she had just heard the voice of a scary monster on the line and her heart pounded as she glanced at Liam worriedly.
"Who was that?" He spoke before she could.
Lisa sighed and sat on the sofa behind her. "It was someone asking about Zelda and with her concerned tone, I think she must be related to her. I'm thinking she could be-"
"Zelda's daughter?" Liam said because Lisa could.
"Yes, but I won't tell her anything because I promised Zelda that I wouldn't." Lisa replied.
"That's absurd, the little girl will be devastated right now." Liam remarked.
"Well, it's not my fault because it was not my decision but Zelda's and I'm not interested in having a little chit chat with a little girl." Lisa replied and walked to the open window.
The chirpers of the birds made the atmosphere feel more homey and calm but Lisa felt the opposite of it.
Liam walked to her and stood behind her then he placed a peek on her neck and she moaned slightly.
"I know it's not your fault, but don't you think the little girl would need you help in finding her mother?" Liam asked and Lisa turned to him with a sour face.
"I really don't want to do this, but the little girl will have to find everything out herself!"
…
"What? She handed up on you?" Aaron asked in shock. He stopped what he was doing to hear Sage's words clearly and held the telephone closer to his ear.
"Yes, she did. She said it was the wrong number I called, but I think there's something fishy going on." Sage paused for a minute and continued. "I found a letter from her to my mom and she said she would be in Singapore and she she wishes for my mom to come visit her some day so I'm confident that if I can get to her then I'd be able to find my mom for real." Sage said.
"It's worth a try, I guess!" Aaron replied as he sat on a couch.
"Yes, it is indeed. But I need your help with something." Sage replied.
"What's that?" Aaron asked.
"I really thought that I would be free now that I'm away from the palace but it's worse here now and my husband won't let me leave the quarters, not even for a minute. So I need you to come here so we can talk more about our plan. Please will you help me?" Sage pleaded.
"Of course, I will! Because I love to see you happy." Aaron replied and his words warmed Sage's heart.
"Okay, I'll be waiting for you!" Sage said and aborted the call. She walked to the window where she could clearly see the entrance of the palace so she would be aware when Aaron arrives
After less than ten minutes, she smiled happily upon sighting Aaron on a horse a little distance away from the palace and she was glad to know how reliable he was.
He was successfully able to bypass the guards at the entrance of the palace and they helped him keep his horse in the cottage.
He was directed to the garden as Sage had already informed the guards of his coming and she immediately rushed out of the living room to the garden.
She met him seated on a chair with a round table in front of him and one chair left for her.
"You came just in time, I wasn't expecting that." Sage said as Aaron stood to help her sit like a real gentleman.
"Thanks!" She said with a bright smile.
"Yeah, I was on my way here anyway. I had missed you and I got to crestthane yesterday so I stayed at my friend's place for the meantime." Aaron replied with a smile back to sage.
"So let's get talking, shall we?" Aaron added and sat back on his chair.
"Yes, I want you to take a look at this. I don't know this place but I've heard about it severally." Sage replied and handed the letter and photo she had taken from her father's closet to Aaron.
"Singapore…yeah, I do know this place and it's not too far away from crestthane." Aaron said.
"Really?, wow this is always full of mystery. How come I never knew?" Sage asked.
"Yeah, it's really close." Aaron repeated.
"Okay how can we get there?" Sage asked.
"A carriage is okay for transportation." Aaron said as he read the contents of the letter carefully.
"So when do we leav
e?" Sage reduced the tune of her voice to a whisper as she stared intensely at Aaron.
"We leave now…!" Aaron replied..
