In an area to the north, Aleena danced among dozens of Ironfang Boars, with two short swords in her slender hands. Despite the overwhelming number of enemies surrounding her, she displayed no signs of fear. She danced like a captivating beauty, and every strike she made perfectly hit her enemy's weak spot, yet no beast blood wet her body.

Behind her, Nicholas was wearing battle armor-like clothing, and he was repeatedly cutting apart the beasts that were trying to attack Aleena with his double glaive.

Their teammates deftly attacked the beasts that attacked from behind them, and Yuning Lie was among them with her focus on healing them. 'I don't understand why people from the organization separated me from my brother, and they put me on the same team as these foreigners.'

After a few minutes, all the Ironfang Boars had fallen lifeless, and their blood soaked the ground around the area.

Aleena wiped the blood on her two short swords. "Did you manage to track Eddie's location, Nic?"

"Miss, their location is 1300 miles (ca. 2,092 km) south, and they are moving east." Nicholas answered.

Yuning was surprised to hear Aleena and Nicholas talking about Eddie, but she chose not to comment on it. 'Why are they monitoring that guy? Could there be an issue between them?'

Aleena looked southeast before speaking to her teammates. "Let's go; we will move in that direction."

Yuning was taken aback by Aleena's apparent obsession with Eddie, but she and the others quickly followed her and Nicholas.

In another area, Jamie looks frustrated because the higher-ups put him on a bad team, and their cultivation is one major level below him. Most of his teammates are also new explorers with minimal experience, and their fighting skills are not excellent, forcing him to work hard to protect them.

"What's wrong with you?" A tall man with short black hair, dressed in a light vest, gauntlets, and iron boots, inquired.

Jamie turned his head to the man. "Aren't you annoyed with our teammates, Brother Stephen Chen?"

Stephen Chen is the son of Jason Chen and Liliana Jiang. He is Jessica Chen's biological brother and Eddie's adopted brother.

"Why should I be annoyed with them?" Stephen responded with a shake of his head. "We have both been in their shoes, and we have also troubled our seniors in the past, so we should be able to understand them. They are novice cultivators, so it is natural that they are not yet experts in expeditions. If you feel they are hindering you, you can go first, and I will guide them myself. However, I will not help you if you encounter problems later, and I will include your negative attitude in my report."

"Tch!" Jamie gritted his teeth and walked in front of them.

A young woman with her black hair tied in a ponytail stepped to Stephen's side. "Jamie's character is similar to his mother's, Brother."

"You're right, Cecilia Yang." Stephen exhaled softly. "Selena was naturally arrogant, and she became even more arrogant after marrying Michael. She was also an old-fashioned person who prioritized sons over daughters, and she spoiled Jamie too much, making him like that."

"Hehe." Cecilia softly chuckled in response. "Yuning is much better than Jamie, and she is more mature than her brother."

"You don't have to mind that guy." Stephen turned to his team members. "We will move southeast to join my sister's team, and we will explore the heart of this forest area together with them."'

Throughout the journey, Eddie never lost his enthusiasm for attacking the beasts, which was because of the two quests he got from the system.

By the time the sun set, they had already killed quite a number of beasts, but Eddie was disappointed that he had only found less than thirty low-tier beast gems. Despite this, he was satisfied because his level had risen twice, to level three.

The darkness in the forest made it difficult for them to move, and various types of beasts roamed around them. Eddie decided to take his teammates to rest in a slightly open area, and they built a campfire to warm their bodies.

"Is there a river or lake near us, Jess?" Liana asked Jessica. "The previous fights made me sweat a lot, and my body is sticky, so I want to clean myself."

"Me too." Dea said. "I also want to clean my body."

Jessica took out her device and checked the area around them through it. She then pointed in front of them. "There is a small pond about 3 miles (ca. 5 km) ahead of us, and I don't see any beasts there, so we can go there to clean ourselves."

Liana immediately pulled Natasha and Dea with her. "Do you two want to join us, Jess and Leah?"

"I'll join you guys." Jessica and Leah immediately followed them, leaving the three men in their camp.

On the other hand, Eddie sat by the campfire while staring at the transparent blue screen in front of him.

'Every time my level increases, the EXP I need also increases, and the increase is quite significant. Unfortunately, I can only obtain EXP by killing beasts, as cultivating does not yield it. Like in the game, my HP and energy increase naturally as I level up. However, I didn't expect that using my spirit would reduce my energy, so I can't use it nonstop.' Seeing the remaining 50 points, Eddie thought about which status he should improve first. After thinking it over carefully, he decided to add 30 points to STR and 20 points to INT, making his attack increase by 150 and his energy increase to 900. 'Every 1 point of stat STR increases my attack by 5 points, and every 1 stat point of INT also increases my energy by 10 points. If my guess is correct, VIT will increase my HP and defense, AGI will increase my speed and dodge, DEX will increase my accuracy, and LUK will increase my critical hit rate. However, I don't know how much they will increase for every 1 stat point, and I'll check after I level up again. I also still don't have any information about my job, and I must reach a certain level first to be able to change it, but I feel weird about it because cultivators don't have specific jobs.'

"What are you thinking, Ed?" Jordan suddenly asked.

"Nothing." Eddie then stood up. "I've never practiced sword techniques before, and I previously bought a sword technique, so I'll study it first while waiting for them."

Eddie sat under a tree, took out the book of Blood Moon Sword Art, and read it carefully. He found that there were so many sub-techniques within the technique, and each sub-technique had a different function, such as offense, defense, control, and protection.

"Has he really never studied any techniques?" Richard asked Jordan while stealing glances at Eddie.

Jordan shook his head and glanced at his best friend. "For several years, Eddie's cultivation has remained in the elementary realm, preventing him from learning any techniques. Regardless, he trained himself by sparring with me, Leah, and Nath. He also learned to use various weapons—both close-range and long-range weapons. You have seen how he fought with those beasts before, so you should be able to gauge his fighting ability using long-range attacks."

"Yes." Richard nodded in agreement. "Eddie's long-range attacks are impressive, especially his accuracy. He previously attacked the beast from such a long distance, but he was able to kill it with a single attack."

"Haha." Jordan laughed at that. "Eddie is a national archery and shooting champion, and all his shots always hit the center of the target, so his accuracy is indeed too high. Although we also train our long-range attacks, we prefer close-range combat, so our accuracy is inferior to his."

"Is Eddie's melee ability also as good as his long-range ability?" Richard asked again.

Jordan nodded. "I'm sure he'll start using melee attacks tomorrow, so you can see for yourself then."

"I can't wait to see that."

After he read all the sub-techniques within the technique, Eddie stood up and took out his Stellar Sword. He didn't try to use any of the techniques right away, and he first practiced his footwork according to the guide in the book. According to the book, each technique requires agility, speed, and accuracy when executing it.

While practicing his footwork, Eddie also swung and thrust his sword. At first, his movements seemed sloppy and stiff, but he quickly familiarized himself with his footwork. His movements slowly became fluid and smooth, and the way he swung and thrust his sword also became sharper.

Jordan then approached Eddie and took out his spear. "Training alone won't be fun, and it will better if you train while fighting an enemy, so let me accompany you to train, Ed."

"Sure." Eddie nodded to his best friend. "Attack me as usual and use your abilities to the fullest."

"Are you sure about that?" Jordan asked in doubt because he didn't want to have a serious spar with Eddie, and he just wanted to help him practice his techniques.

Eddie didn't answer his best friend and attacked him directly, forcing Jordan to use his spear to deflect his attack. "Fight seriously, Jo."

"As you wish." Jordan kicked forward, but Eddie responded by kicking his leg. "I will fight you seriously."
