It had already been a month since Luna was abandoned by her parents. She hadn't received any calls or texts from them, feeling truly abandoned. David was always at work, and she stayed home. Despite her husband's attempts to persuade her to go shopping when he wasn't home, Luna chose to stay home if she had to go alone. Her eyebrows raised when one of the maids placed her favorite lemon juice on the table.
"I don't like that. Please take it away," she said.
The maid was surprised by her behavior, knowing that lemon juice was her favorite drink. The maid tried to explain, but Luna insisted on having the lemon juice removed from the table. The maid was confused by her behavior, even though Luna didn't understand what was happening to her. She often felt sick and dizzy but didn't discuss it with her husband. Her behavior was changing as the days passed.
"I don't like that. Remove it," she ordered when her husband offered her lemon juice during dinner one night.
"Why? Isn't lemon juice your favorite?" he asked.
"I don't like it. Please take it away."
Her husband was confused by her behavior. Lemon juice had been Luna's favorite juice flavor when they were dating in the past, but now she didn't like it. Thinking that his wife was in a bad mood, he ignored it. David was confused and didn't know what was happening with her as the days went by. Luna smelled her clothes after he showered himself with a sweet perfume.
"I'm leaving now. Take care of yourself, baby," he said.
He left the house filled with confusion. He didn't know if everything was fine, but he tried to ask his secretary.
"Is it natural for girls to suddenly change their behavior and start disliking their favorite hobbies?" he asked.
His secretary was confused but answered his question.
"My wife is an example, Sir. It started when she was pregnant. Why? Who is that girl, Sir?" she inquired.
Instead of answering his secretary's questions, David wanted to be alone. His thoughts lingered on Luna. He considered the possibility that his wife was carrying their baby. Unbeknownst to him, Luna was on her way to the hospital when she couldn't help herself from a sudden dizziness. Reality hit her when the doctor informed her that she was one month pregnant. The doctor showed her more results, which she found hard to believe.
Filled with joy upon learning that she was one month pregnant with her husband's child, she headed straight to David's office instead of going home. People inside noticed her because of her simple outfit. David was surprised and confused when she entered his office."
"Hey, what's wrong? Is something bothering you?"
Luna's expression is emotionless. She is quiet. Seeing his wife in a bad mood, he starts comforting her.
"It's okay, baby. I'm here," he reassured her.
David turned to his table to pick up his phone for a moment and was surprised when Luna opened her palm, showing him the pregnancy test. He was stunned while she laughed at her prank. He was speechless.
"Y-you're pregnant, baby. Wow," he stammered.
Luna just nodded happily in response. David couldn't contain his happiness and hugged her, kissing her forehead afterwards. She burst into laughter when he started crying at the thought of becoming a dad soon. It was the first time she had seen him cry.
"You're pregnant. I-I... What the heck are you doing? You were just kidding. I thought something was bothering you, but what..."
Luna couldn't help but hug him in laughter. He couldn't stop himself from her teasing. Luna couldn't resist grabbing his tie, pulling him down, and politely kissing his lips for a moment before David stopped cursing.
"Soon, you're going to be a father," she said.
"And soon, you're going to be a mother," he replied.
Their discovery led them to happiness. They left the office after David's work. Luna couldn't help but watch the pregnancy test in joy. Her man couldn't help but smile as he focused on driving. The car stopped at a Jewel Shop, one of the shops owned by David. He asked her if she wanted to join him inside, but Luna chose to stay in the car because he would be inside for a while.
She was alone inside the car, waiting for her man. After a few moments, she became confused when he still hadn't returned. It had been twenty minutes since he left her. Thinking that he had an important matter to attend to, she waited patiently. After half an hour of waiting, Luna decided to get out of the car and check on him. She had only taken two steps when she heard a familiar voice calling her from behind. The man quickly approached and hugged her. However, Luna immediately pushed him away, accidentally dropping her bag in the process. The contents of her bag were scattered. She quickly picked up her things, but one thing caught her attention.
"What is this?"
Andrew was holding her pregnancy test, looking surprised. Luna tried to retrieve her pregnancy test, but Andrew raised his hand. Filled with fury, she demanded it back.
"What are you doing? Give it back to me."
"What does this mean, Luna? You're pregnant? With him?"
"Why? Do you have a problem?"
Luna grabbed the pregnancy test from him and was about to leave when Andrew grabbed her arm.
"What's your problem, Andrew? Let me go, or I'll start screaming."
"Tell me. Are you pregnant with that man?" Luna couldn't help but slap him in response.
"Who cares, Andrew? We have no connection. Stay away from me."
Luna tried to free her hand, but Andrew held onto her arm tightly, causing her pain.
"I don't care. But I can't stop loving you, Luna."
Feeling distressed by his behavior, Luna wanted to escape. Meanwhile, David had finished his conversation with his manager at the Jewel Shop, which had been robbed a while ago, causing the delay. The incident was now under investigation, with authorities chasing the suspects. David left the shop and was furious upon learning that Luna was in trouble. Andrew lost Luna when David punched him in the face. David was enraged, grabbing Andrew by the collar and pinning him against the car.
"Don't test my patience, Andrew. You are not her man," David asserted.
"You're not her man. I'm her man. And you tried to take her before our wedding. She's not yours, Luna. She's my Luna!" Andrew argued.
He received another punch from David, and Luna tried to stop them.
"Say that again, and I won't stop you. She's not yours, Luna. She's my Luna. And don't hurt her again!"
David was about to punch him again, but Luna intervened, calming him down. Andrew saw David comforting Luna, which sparked jealousy. Before he could speak, David pulled him away from the car, helped Luna inside, and left. Andrew was furious and felt a pang of pain. Luna and David arrived safely, and David apologized for leaving her outside.
"It's not your fault. If I had stayed inside and waited for you, this wouldn't have happened. Stop apologizing. It's my fault," Luna admitted.
Instead of listening to her, David comforted her.
"Are you really okay? Did he hurt you?"
Luna shook her head with a smile but couldn't hide her emotions when she felt pain in her arms.
"Did you get hurt?"
David lifted her right sleeve and noticed a mark on her arm from Andrew holding her tightly in anger, causing inflammation.
"It's inflamed."
Luna held onto David when she thought he might leave to seek revenge on Andrew.
"I'm not leaving."
Relieved, Luna watched as David examined her arms. She silently observed him, contemplating what her life would be like without him.
"Stop staring at me. It's melting me softly," David said.
She bit her lip, realizing he had noticed her. She kissed his cheek, and he responded by wrapping his arms around her waist.
"I promise to be a good husband and father to our child, Luna. I promise that you will be my only Luna," David vowed.
"I promise to be a good wife and mother to our child, David. I promise that we will face any conflicts together and our love will remain strong. May our love and promises keep us together in an enduring relationship," Luna reciprocated.
"Don't worry a million times. I'm always here to love and comfort you. I love you, Luna," David expressed.
"I love you too, David," Luna replied.
He hugged her tighter and kissed her gently.
