Rox trailed his hands along the rail of lockers in the empty boys' locker room.
The school was silent except for him, Rai, Gen, and Sila and the two douchebags on their knees.
Jean and Tommy had made the mistake of messing with Rox's relative.
"You think Kara's hot?" Rai asked Jean.
Jean shook his head quickly, but not quickly enough. Rai smacked him with a hardcover textbook, the force of the blow making his teeth clatter.
Rox sat on the bleachers. "Don't hit him too hard, Rai. You'll kill him."
"I swear I didn't know she was your girlfriend!" Jean panicked. "I wouldn't have flirted with her."
Rai smacked him again, his expression filled with disgust. "Who asked you to speak, dipshit?"
Tommy mumbled, "All this for a piece of ass? You all have girlfriends, for Christ's sake. She's not even that hot."
Sila's hand shot out, gripping Tommy by the neck with terrifying speed. "Let me kill this little shit," he growled, glaring at Rox.
Rox stared at the blue sky through the open window. "Nah. Too much trouble."
Frustrated, Sila tossed Tommy across the soccer field.
Jean was shaking now, terror evident in his wide eyes. "I swear I'll never talk to her again! I'll never–"
His plea was interrupted as Rai struck him again, sending teeth flying. "Shut up before I murder you."
Gen quietly read a book on the bleachers, uninterested in the chaos.
Tommy staggered to his feet. "You guys think you're so great. I bet I can take you on any day. And guess what? I'll f–"
Before he could finish, Gen snapped his book shut, took off his glasses, and leapt down, landing in front of Tommy.
"Jesus! What freaking monsters are you guys?" Tommy stammered, his legs shaking.
Gen kicked him square in the chin, sending him flying into a bench, which shattered on impact. Tommy spat blood.
"Don't kill him," Rox warned, still staring at the sky.
Gen dragged Tommy back across the field, his anger palpable.
Jean and Tommy were reduced to a shaking, begging mess.
Rox cracked his neck and stood, stretching before stooping in front of them. "You think you can mess with what's ours?"
He pointed to a billboard visible in the distance. "See that huge signboard a couple of miles across town?"
They painfully turned their necks to look, then nodded.
"Good," Rox clapped. "You're going to run. If I don't catch you, you're free to go home. But if I do…" He smirked.
"You'd better pray to your god I don't."
