The next morning, I woke up with immense pain throughout my body, just moving any limb would cause a strange sensation to invade me.
So I went about my daily morning routine, but apparently, my mom wasn't home, so I had to make my own food, but even though it wasn't the first time this had happened, I hoped it would be the last.
The feeling of my tired and sore body didn't allow me to even make fluid movements, much less precise ones.
Although I did my best, the result of the meal was, in a word, disastrous, even the kitchen ended up a mess.
I even had to clean the kitchen thoroughly before eating my food. Once I took the first bite, I felt better, not completely, but with a little energy.
After finishing eating, I felt the sensation of immense laziness, I even found myself tempted to go back to bed and continue sleeping in the arms of Morpheus.
These thoughts flooded me completely, but I tried to fight them with sheer willpower. After cleaning the plate and glass I used, I began to literally pull my body to the training field.
It usually takes me about 5 minutes to get there, but only if I go at a fast pace. This time it took me about half an hour to get to the entrance.
As I set foot outside the training field, I turned my head because something had caught my attention.
When I finally saw clearly, Kai and Kotetzu were lying on a bench each, but the strangest thing was that at first glance Kai's face was covered in bruises everywhere.
While Kotetzu was simply lying down, while covering himself from the sun with his right hand.
"Hey guys, how are you?" I asked with a voice that represented my current state, completely devastated and tired.
"You're finally here, I was really hoping you wouldn't be here." Kai replied in a somewhat annoyed tone.
"Hrm." Was Kotetzu's reply.
"You see, even Kotetzu agrees with me this time."
"Okay, anyway, thank you very much Kotetzu for sending me home." I thanked Kotetzu immensely for his kind act.
But Kotetzu frowned and replied with a. "Hrm." At that moment my gaze changed direction, focusing on Kai, I was completely astonished that he had been the one to take me home.
Kai shook his head, indicating that he had not been responsible for that. "Then, you didn't send us home either." Referring to Kotetzu and himself.
At that moment I felt that the current situation was a bit strange, but the night before, there was no one at the training camp, just like the rest of the days.
When I started to think that it might have been Izuna, suddenly a voice of an adult man came from behind me.
"Hello guys, good morning." Hearing these words, I turned around and saw a person walking in our direction.
"Hello, good morning, sir." Kai and I replied, while Kotetzu responded with the usual "Hrm."
As this person approached, I noticed that behind him was a girl walking, wearing the usual Uchiha clan attire.
When I raised my hand to greet her from a distance, she just looked at me with a pair of cold eyes.
Receiving no response, I lowered my hand and felt a little uncomfortable. "By the way, I think you should measure your limits before training, since I am not in the village regularly."
My eyes widened upon receiving this news. "So it was you who took us home?" I immediately asked.
The gentleman just smiled slightly. "Thank you, by the way, my name is Jomei." I said, while performing a 90° salute. Not only me, but Kai and Kotetzu did the same.
After our introduction, the gentleman also introduced himself to us. "Nice to meet you, my name is Isamu."
"And this little girl here is Fuyuko, she is my daughter." He added.
"Thank you very much, Mr. Isamu." The three of us answered simultaneously, of course, Kotetzu did it in his own way.
"Last night I managed to see that you take your training very seriously, so I was wondering if my daughter could join you in training."
This question took me by surprise, if for no other reason than that no one other than Kotetzu had joined in our rigorous training.
Without thinking too much, I immediately accepted. The main reason is that both Kai and Kotetzu only have me as a reference, since they both compete to be better than the other.
Also, if Fuyuko falls behind Kai, the latter wouldn't feel so bad about always being behind Kotetzu.
If Fuyuko were to be better than him, it would clearly make him focus even more on training, since he has been falling far behind us.
With a nod he said. "Thank you very much, by the way, be patient with her, she can be a bit rough at times." Mr. Isamu added.
At that moment, I didn't care too much about what he said. "Don't worry, as long as you do the training, it doesn't matter what your attitude is." I replied.
Isamu crouched down in front of Fuyuko, but I couldn't hear what he said to his daughter, although, I really shouldn't care, since it was a father and daughter matter.
After saying goodbye to Isamu, we all entered the training field, in which there were several children of our age, even some older ones. "Okay, take your shiruken and kunais." I clapped my hands after finishing speaking and gave a slight smile.
But the cold faces of the three of them left me a little puzzled. Kotetzu stretched out his arm and pointed at a tree inside.
At first, I didn't understand what he was trying to tell me, but after a quick analysis of the tree, I realized that he wasn't pointing directly at the tree, but at its shadow.
In this era, clocks hadn't yet begun to be manufactured, so the easiest way to tell the time was simply based on the shadow of any object.
"Or eleven in the morning." I exclaimed in bewilderment, until this moment I realized the reason why my mother wasn't home.
Clearing everything from my mind, I took out my katana from my back and told Kai and Kotetzu to do the training in pairs.
While I was training with Fuyuko, after giving her the signal that we could begin our fight, she instantly took out her katana from its sheath.
Without waiting too long, she lunged at me with quick, concise movements, so I resorted to a defensive stance.
She was very insistent when she saw that my condition was not optimal for combat, but I quickly kicked her feet, which made her fall directly to the ground.
Without waiting for her to get up, I placed my sword on her neck, which marked the end of our duel, although in her eyes you could see a disgust towards herself for losing the battle.
I stretched out my hand for her to stand up, but she just ignored it and stood up again.
