" Really ? Me I think there's something." Richie said.
As they said these Lisa and Nicky were going to get the seats.
" If there's something then she's dead !" Jenny swore.
" There she comes. Do something !" Richie whispered.
As Jenny saw them coming she thought of something and as Lisa was coming Jenny stretched her leg to the way Lisa was passing and Lisa who hadn't seen this was trapped by Jenny's leg.
In no minute Lisa lost balance and fell hard to the ground with the food in her arms which scattered with some particles sticking on her faces and clothes and the mango juice also poured in her face.
" Hahaha…" there was a loud laughter by the few workers who saw this.
Lisa didn't mind at first because of the pain she felt in the fall.
" Lisa.." Nicky called but there's no way she could rescue because she was holding her tray of food too.
Lisa realized that workers were laughing at her later and when she raised her head she saw Jenny right in front of her laughing wickedly.
At the very moment as of the gods were on Lisa's side Canary and Micheal were passing by.
Canary as the CEO was responsible for checking on each and every department of the company at least three times a week to see how things went and today he had come to check on how the employees are fed.
As he went inside the company restaurant he was welcomed by a laughter that he didn't understand at first.
The cooks and waiters who saw him first stopped laughing immediately.
The rest were still busy laughing as Canary observed what was going on only to see someone on the floor whom he didn't recognize at first.
" It's Mr Canary..," One of the workers saw him and whispered to the others from which Richie heard and saw him herself.
" Jenny, Mr Canary is here.." Richie said.
Nicky had gone to place the food on the table and she was coming back to help Lisa when she saw Canary.
" What's going on here ?" Canary's voice roared in the room.
The rest quickly went back to there business Jenny bent before Lisa and gave her her hand pretending to help her get up.
" Oh, Lisa I'm really sorry. I didn't see you coming." She spoke out loud as she saw Canary walk towards them.
Lisa got ignored Jenny's hand and got up to her feet with anger that mixed with embarrassment.
" Lisa , I am really sorry I…" Jenny was still talking out loud for Canary to hear when he cut her off.
" What exactly is happening?" Canary asked.
Lisa turned to face him surprised. She hadn't seen him nor knew that he was here.
" I'm so sorry Mr Canary, I accidentally knocked her" Jenny lied.
" She's lying !" Nicky stepped forward.
" She intentionally trapped Lisa with her leg. I saw it myself." Nicky reported.
Canary looked at Jenny in disbelief.
" Is what she says true ?" He asked.
" Sir, I didn't mean to. I was…" Jenny was still talking when Canaru got the glass of juice she was drinking and poured it in her face.
Jenny stopped talking midway in disbelief.
Everyone is the restaurant was astonished by this.
" Does it feel good now ?" Canary asked Jenny hoarsely.
Jenny felt so disgraced at the moment to be ashamed in everyone's presence.
" Now you see. Don't do something to someone unless it can make you happy too." He said and turned back to Lisa.
He her hand which again put everyone in whammy and then said to Jenny.
" Have all that cleaned." He said and after walked away with Lisa.
Lisa was still in astonishment and she followed out of the restaurant.
Most of the workers were left in murmurs not believing what just happened.
Canary dragged Lisa's hand up to the elevator until it closed.
Lisa pulled out her hand from his grip and then said.
" Thank you" Her voice was low and soft.
" What's the issue between you and Jenny ?" Canary asked.
" It's nothing much. Don't mind." Lisa responded.
" It's nothing much. Don't mind." He said.
When the elevator opened Lisa turned to look at him and said.
" Thank you once again." She said and turned to leave when he grabbed her hand again.
" I'm taking you to my office. You need to change." He said.
" No need. I will go to the washroom and dry off the food stains. " Lisa answered.
" You can't be serious. How will you remain in those clothes when they look like that ?" Canary asked.
" Why do care ?" Lisa asked her voice still calm.
" What ?" Canary asked in disbelief.
" Do you think that you should help me all the time ?" Lisa asked sadly.
" Hi, What is wrong with it if I want to help you ?" He asked.
" Canary please stop !" She raised her voice at him which has never happened before.
Her eyes were wet from the tears she had held all way long.
He was amused that he didn't say a word.
" Who said that you should be there for me all the time ? Yeah I'm grateful fot everything but I'm sick of it !" She said.
" Please stop involving yourself with my problems." She barked.
" Lisa I thought we were friends. Why are you pushing me away ?" Canary asked with luck of credence.
" I don't understand you at all these days. It's a week, you don't to talk nor look at me. And now you are telling to stop getting involved with you" He spoke and held both her shoulders.
" Tell me Lisa, Do you have any problem with me ?" He demanded.
He looked deep into her wet eyes which made her feel like he was staring directly into her soul.
She looked away and said. " We have no problem. I just…"
" Then why are trying hard to push me away ?" He also raised his voice cutting her statement midway;
She looked up at him again and said.
" Because I…." She found herself speaking but then then stopped midway.
" You what ?" He asked curiously.
The tears Lisa had held finally came out and all she did was looking away from him.
' I love you …but there's no way I can say….'
She said in her head while tears fell from her eyes.
" Because I just don't want you to be so involved with me." That's all she could say in tears.
Canary was more confused to see her crying before him so he first released her shoulders.
" Seems what's ever is bothering you is a serious case..and you don't want to say it." He spoke and swallowed hard.
" Fine, If that's so then I won't bother you again," He said and then walked away,
Lisa dried her tears not believing what she had just done.
