Lisa felt goosebumps when his body jusy touched hers.
She swallowed hard starting to feel the temperature of her body rise. After she silently looked down at him again but his hair covered his face.
She tried to control herself by not touching him anf stayed calm. As time went by sleep also caught her.
When Lisa woke up she first felt a warm soft and strong surface supporting her head and she first smiled her eyes still closed.
She shook her head against the surface feeling more comfortable than before and as she opened her eyes she saw a big hand holding a phone before her.
She came back to reality and fully opened her me eyes and on looking up she realized that she was in Canary's fine chest.
She quickly moved away and organized her hair.
" You are awake ?" He asked.
They were still seated in the plane and it was already morning.
" …Yeah…I.i:., I'm …sorry. I ..didn't…. was sleeping…. like ….that." She stammered as her tongue couldn't find the right words.
" It's time to leave !" Canary ignored and got up.
She got up after him immediately and the left together. No word was said again while Canary waited for the person he had called to come and meet them.
He was a middle aged man who welcomed them with a smile and helped to put their luggage in the boot of the car.
Lisa got herself the front seat besides the Man early enough.
She didn't want to sit near Canary at all.
As the driver drove off Lisa's eyes went to the window where she could observe the town from.
Canary seemed relaxed, his eyes half-closed as he enjoyed the ride. Every so often, he would glance at Lisa, his expression unreadable.
As they approached the hotel, the driver asked, "Mr. Anderson, would you like me to drop you off at the entrance or would you prefer to go straight to your suite?"
Canary responded immediately, "Take us to the entrance, please. We'll check in and then head to our rooms."
Lisa nodded in agreement, her eyes still fixed on the road ahead.
As they pulled up to the entrance, Canary opened the door and stepped out, offering his hand to Lisa. She took it, her touch brief as she exited the car.
As they walked into the hotel, Lisa couldn't help but feel a sense of unease.
She knew that Canary was a playboy, and she was determined to keep their relationship professional. But as they approached the reception desk, she couldn't help but notice the way Canary's eyes seemed to linger on her, his gaze sending shivers down her spine.
"Welcome to the Grand Plaza Hotel," the receptionist said, her smile warm and inviting. "You must be Mr. Anderson and Ms. Arnold. We've been expecting you."
Canary nodded, his smile charming. "Yes, that's us. We have a reservation for the next few days."
As the receptionist checked them in, Lisa couldn't help but feel a sense of trepidation. She knew that she was in for a challenging few days, but she was determined to keep her focus on the conference and her work.
She was determined to keep her focus on the conference and work.
Lisa entered her room, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. She was finally alone, away from Canary's piercing gaze. She took a deep breath, trying to shake off the uneasy feeling that had settled in her stomach.
As she began to unpack, her mind wandered back to Canary. She couldn't help but wonder what he was thinking, why he seemed so interested in her. She pushed the thoughts aside, focusing on the task at hand.
Meanwhile, Canary was in his own room, his mind racing with thoughts of Lisa. He couldn't believe how beautiful she was, how captivating. He wanted to know more about her, to explore the connection between them.
As he unpacked, he couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. He knew that this conference was going to be interesting, and he was eager to see what the next few days would bring. Little did he know, Lisa was thinking the same thing.
——
That evening, Canary dressed impeccably in a tailored suit, his eyes gleaming with anticipation. He waited for Lisa to emerge from her room, expecting her to be equally dressed up.
But when Lisa stepped out, Canary's expression fell. She was wearing a simple yet elegant dress, but it wasn't what Canary had envisioned. He had expected something more... dazzling.
"Lisa, I thought we discussed the dress code," Canary said, his voice tinged with disappointment.
Lisa looked at him, confusion etched on her face. "We didn't discuss anything, Canary. Besides, this is a professional conference, not a fashion show."
Canary's eyes narrowed, his gaze lingering on Lisa's dress. "You're representing our company, Lisa. I expect you to dress accordingly."
Lisa's expression turned icy. "I am dressing professionally, Canary. And I won't be dictated to on what to wear."
The tension between them was palpable, the air thick with unspoken words. Canary's eyes seemed to bore into Lisa's, as if trying to will her to change her outfit.
But stood her ground her jaw ready for defense.
" Follow me !" Canary commanded and walked to the car.
Lisa followed and went inside with him. He drove quietly and stopped before a mall.
Canary's eyes sparkled with excitement as he led Lisa to one of the Anderson's branches in London. "We're going to get you a new dress, one that's fitting for a woman of your stature," he said, his voice dripping with charm.
Lisa raised an eyebrow, unsure of what to make of Canary's sudden interest in her wardrobe. But as they entered the store, she was immediately enveloped in a world of luxury and elegance.
Canary led her to the designer section, where a stunning dress caught her.
"Try it on," Canary urged, his eyes gleaming with enthusiasm.
As Lisa slipped into the silk short dress, she felt a surge of confidence coursing through her veins.
The dress hugged her curves in all the right places, accentuating her toned legs and slender waist.
The soft, lustrous fabric seemed to glow in the light, highlighting her sun-kissed skin.
Canary's eyes widened in appreciation as Lisa emerged from the dressing room. "You look stunning," he breathed, his gaze roving over her body. "The dress was made for you."
Lisa blushed, feeling a flutter in her chest. She couldn't remember the last time she had felt so beautiful, so desired.
The dress seemed to bring out a side of her she never knew existed, a side that was playful, flirtatious, and confident.
" Thanks Canary." Lisa spoke in a soft voice.
As they were about to leave the store, Canary walked up to Lisa and reached out to her hair. He gently untied the knot that held her hair back, allowing her locks to cascade down her back.
Lisa's eyes widened in surprise as Canary's fingers brushed against her skin. She felt a shiver run down her spine as he stepped back to admire her.
"Your hair was hiding your beauty," Canary said, his voice low and husky. "Now, you look even more stunning."
Lisa's cheeks flushed as she touched her hair, feeling a sense of vulnerability.
No one had ever touched her like that before, and she wasn't sure how to react.
But as she looked into Canary's eyes, she saw something there that made her heart skip a beat. It was a look of genuine admiration, of appreciation for her beauty.
"Thank you," Lisa said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Canary smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "You're welcome," he said. "Now, shall we go?"
As they left the store, Lisa felt a sense of excitement. She couldn't remember the last time she had felt this way about anyone.
And as she glanced at Canary, she knew that she was in trouble. Big trouble.
