Rhodes Vs Mira (Domestic violence)

Logically speaking, when a couple finally confesses and gets together, what comes next is obvious: a date! Shopping, eating out, maybe catching a movie, and, who knows, sharing a few jokes along the way.

In short, doing normal couple things to strengthen the bond.

But Rhodes and Mira? They didn't do any of that.

On the very same day they officially started dating, the two of them decided to... spar.

And not just a playful little scuffle in the guild yard, either. No, they went all the way out to the lakeside just in case they got too intense and accidentally destroyed part of the guild.

This was the first time Rhodes had ever seriously fought Mira. Usually, it was him and Elfman trading blows while Mira watched from the sidelines, playing the dual role of coach and referee.

Now? The coach had stepped onto the field. The referee was about to start throwing punches. And Rhodes... wasn't quite sure how to feel about that.

But to be perfectly honest, Mira, in her sports top, fitted shorts, sneakers, and her hair tied up in a high ponytail, looked really good.

The problem was, she looked too good. Rhodes's eyes kept wandering where they shouldn't.

Mira shot him a warning glance. "Focus. I won't be holding back."

"Got it," Rhodes nodded seriously, even though his gaze betrayed him.

"Are you gonna tell me what the prize is for winning?" he asked, trying to stay motivated.

Mira gave a soft hum through her nose as she went into a deep stretch, her body curving gracefully. Then she exhaled and smiled. "You sure you're confident enough to earn it?"

"Confidence is important," she added, standing upright. "No matter who the opponent is, if you're going to fight, you have to believe you can win."

Rhodes was beginning to understand where the reckless bravado of half the Fairy Tail guys came from. That kind of belief, that conviction, wasn't just ego. It was fuel. It was power.

Still, Rhodes wasn't planning to throw himself blindly into things like Natsu or Elfman. He just needed to get into the right mindset for what was, arguably, his most important fight so far.

"Good attitude," Mira said as she took her stance. "Ready when you are."

From Rhodes's perspective, Mira's posture looked off. Her guard had openings. Her feet weren't evenly spaced. It looked like the kind of stance a punk might take before throwing a wild haymaker.

But he knew better.

If a real punk tried to step in on her like that, Mira would flatten them so hard their own mother wouldn't recognize them.

And unfortunately for him, he was the punk today.

Rhodes stepped in with caution, feinting a left jab and swinging with a right hook.

Mira blocked it effortlessly, and countered with a sharp side kick.

Rhodes barely managed to raise his arm to absorb the blow, and the moment her leg struck, he felt it.

How could such a slender, graceful limb hit like a hammer?

Even though she hadn't used Take Over magic yet, the sheer force of that kick nearly knocked him off balance.

To Mira, that stumble was an invitation.

In the blink of an eye, she was in motion, her fists flying like a flurry of raindrops. Each strike was calculated, relentless, and precise.

Rhodes found himself on the defensive immediately, retreating step by step.

After taking a series of hard hits, Rhodes decided it was time to fight seriously.

The stone-like shell of the Krug began to cover parts of his body, specifically where he had been struck. Using this defense to his advantage, he counterattacked with two solid punches.

He didn't aim for Mira's face, that would've been unthinkable. And going for her chest? Absolutely not. So he chose the shoulder joint and abdomen instead.

But Mira was just as prepared. Her body responded with a technique of her own, soft to the touch but rock-solid underneath. Rhodes could feel the impact travel back up his arms. It forced her to react slightly, but it wasn't enough to slow her down.

In a smooth motion, Mira grabbed Rhodes' arm, twisted her body, and drove her shoulder into his chest with force, tossing him backward.

The moment her shoulder collided with his sternum, his breath caught, and stars danced across his vision. Still airborne, he quickly adjusted to avoid hitting the ground like a ragdoll.

"You've gotten really good at integrating Take Over into close-quarters combat," Mira called out with a bright tone. "I'm proud of you."

Then she winked playfully. "But don't underestimate me."

Rhodes landed, exhaled, and shook off the daze. He could tell Mira hadn't just regained her magic, she was back to full strength in every aspect: power, technique, and confidence.

That was a relief.

"Alright then," he said, rolling his shoulder, "but we agreed, no getting mad if one of us gets beaten."

Mira smirked. "You can treat me like Erza, Cana, or even Mickey if that helps."

Rhodes raised a brow. "Sorry, but none of them are as pretty as you."

Mira touched her cheek lightly, pretending to sigh. "Flattery won't save you. Next round, I'm going all out."

Rhodes braced himself.

"Take Over: Satan Soul!"

A rush of dark, overwhelming magic burst from Mira's body. The grass beneath her feet trembled. Her eyes gleamed wickedly as her expression twisted into a devilish grin.

"Let's go!"

"Take Over: Blue Sentinel!"

Rhodes cloaked himself in the azure armor of the Blue Sentinel and threw a punch straight at her. Mira didn't flinch. Their fists collided with a shockwave, forcing Rhodes to stagger back.

In terms of sheer strength and presence, Mira's form rivaled even Laxus's flashy moves. And while Laxus's thunder magic had more flair, Mira's raw physical power post-transformation wasn't far behind.

After a series of thunderous exchanges, Mira suddenly shifted tactics.

With a flap of her jet-black wings, she vanished from Rhodes' direct line of sight and reappeared at his side, like a shadow in motion.

Then came the blow.

A sharp, precise kick from her booted leg struck Rhodes' shoulder with brutal force.

Rhodes staggered back from the blow. Just as he tried to grab Mira, she vanished from sight, only to reappear at his right side, slamming a punch into his ribs.

He barely had time to turn when she was already behind him, delivering a full-force strike to his back.

Rhodes flew through the air, crashed straight through the guild wall, and ended up flat on his back in the courtyard.

He couldn't dodge in time. Come to think of it, this felt familiar, Laxus had pulled the same move on him back when he first started using the Sentinel Form.

Still, what this form lacked in speed, it made up for in durability. His magic was slowly recovering, and if Mira kept attacking like this, he was confident he could outlast her.

But Mira was already hot on his heels.

Rhodes summoned two small stone totems from the ground. They floated up, locked onto her, and began firing blue lasers, his signature Azure canon.

Mira evaded like a dancer in flight. The floaters tried to keep up, but her speed was just too much. Before they could fire a third time, she had already smashed them both with clean punches.

"Takeover—Brambleback!"

Forget playing defensive. Time to go full offense! A man doesn't back down from a fight with his girlfriend!

The next punch from Rhodes collided with Mira's head-on. The shockwave of the blow sent a gust of wind rippling through the courtyard.

Mira had leapt at him from midair. When their fists connected, the sheer force cracked the ground beneath Rhodes' feet, embedding them deep into the stone.

Red flames crackled at his fists, not enough to burn her, of course. Who would seriously injure their girlfriend in a spar?

But Mira wasn't impressed. "Come on, don't hold back. Pretend I'm Natsu!"

"Got it."

Rhodes activated the Red buff. His fists now left trails of red flame with each punch. He exchanged several blows with her in rapid succession. Mira's fists stung with the heat, and soon, small welts appeared on her knuckles.

His wooden fists took damage too, but under the Brambleback form's regeneration, they sprouted fresh bark and healed in moments.

Mira responded by vanishing again, appearing all around him in a blur of movement, striking from every direction.

Rhodes took hit after hit. His Brambleback form wasn't as tough as the Sentinel, and her relentless blows left scorched marks across his body.

But then—an opening.

Mira's kick landed on his back, but before she could pull away, vines burst from the ground and coiled tightly around her leg.

She twisted midair to break free, but it was too late.

Rhodes swung.

His wooden fist struck Mira square in the abdomen, sending her flying across the yard.

Worried, Rhodes took a step forward, but Mira stopped mid-air with a flap of her wings.

She raised her arms. Her hands formed a cupped shape, and in the space between them, a black sphere began to form small, but crackling with immense power.

Rhodes' eyes widened. "Wait wait wait—!"

BOOM!!!
