Chapter 21 – My Blood Can Upgrade a Sword, and Now It’s Meeting My Horse

Step One: Testing My New Weapon

After realizing my new sword wasn't just sentient but also a reincarnated person, I figured it was time to see what else it could do.

We had already confirmed:

✔ It was absurdly sharp.

✔ It adjusted to my fighting style instantly.

✔ It had a sarcastic a personality.

But I wanted to know—was there more to it?

I swung it a few times, cutting through solid stone like butter.

The sword hummed in approval. "Damn, I forgot how good it feels to actually be used."

I smirked. "Good. Because I'm just getting started."

---

Step Two: The Blood Experiment

At some point, I cut my palm on accident.

A few drops of blood dripped onto the sword's blade.

And suddenly—

The entire sword changed.

The rust vanished.

The blackened metal turned sleek and polished.

The dull edges sharpened even further, almost glowing.

I stared. "…Okay, what the f*ck?"

The sword sounded just as shocked. "Whoa. WHOA. What the hell did you just do?!"

I blinked. "I think… my blood just restored you."

A pause.

Then the sword muttered, "Huh. That's new."

---

Step Three: Testing the Blood Effect

I wiped more of my blood on the blade.

For a brief moment, it radiated power, almost pulsing with energy.

But after a few seconds, it started fading back to its rusted form.

I sighed. "So it's temporary."

The sword grumbled. "Oh, COME ON. I finally looked cool again!"

I shrugged. "Looks like you need regular maintenance. Like a spoiled noble's pet."

"Bite me."

"You're the sword. You bite things, not the other way around."

"F*ck off."

Yeah. This was going great.

---

Step Four: Taking It Home and Introducing It to My Horse

After testing my new blood-powered weapon buff, I finally decided to go back to the inn.

The moment I arrived at the stables, my horse turned to face me.

It stared.

Then its gaze shifted to the sword in my hand.

The sword spoke in my mind. "Wait. You actually own a horse?"

I nodded. "Yeah, why?"

The sword hesitated.

Then, for the first time, it sounded genuinely disturbed.

"…It's looking at me funny."

I glanced between them.

The horse was still staring.

Intensely.

Like it was judging the sword's entire existence.

I sighed. "Yeah, it does that."

The sword made an uncomfortable noise. "Can you tell it to stop?"

I patted my horse. "Hey, buddy, be nice. It's my new weapon."

The horse snorted.

The sword grumbled. "I don't like this thing."

"Good. Now you know how I felt about you earlier."

"I take back everything. We should be allies against this demon horse."

I sighed.

This was my life now.

The Next Day – A Familiar Face

I woke up early, grabbed my sword (which had apparently spent the night having a mental battle with my horse), and left for the city.

And that's when I saw her.

The only character in this stupid game that I actually respected.

The Corrupted Princess Villain.

---

The Only Good Thing in This Game

She stood in a secluded part of the academy gardens, wearing a pristine noble dress, posture flawless.

Her platinum blonde hair was styled perfectly.

Her golden eyes held zero emotion.

A picture-perfect noble. Too perfect.

And I knew why.

Because if she made even a single mistake—

She'd suffer for it.

---

Her Story – Why She's Actually Normal

✔ She was a princess, born into a strict and cruel royal family.

✔ Her father forced her to be perfect. She had to be the smartest, the most talented, and always rank first in the academy.

✔ If she failed? She was punished. Harshly.

✔ Because of her family's power, everyone feared her. No one befriended her. No one approached her.

✔ She was completely alone.

Until she met one of the heroine's love interests.

For the first time, someone treated her like a person.

She fell for him.

But then—

She saw him fall for Seria instead.

And that's when everything changed.

---

Why She Becomes the "Corrupted" Villain

✔ Her love turns into hatred.

✔ She sees Seria as the one who stole everything from her.

✔ By the final act, she's consumed by dark magic and must be killed.

It was one of the saddest backstories in the game.

And honestly?

I always thought she deserved better.

---

Watching the Scene Play Out

She stood across from one of the love interests, Julius.

I knew this event.

✔ It was the moment she started realizing he didn't love her back.

✔ The first moment her smile became a mask.

✔ The first time she truly felt powerless.

And no one—not Seria, not Julius, not anyone—noticed her pain.

Because to them, she was just a future villain to be defeated.

I sighed.

"F*cking tragic."

The sword hummed. "What? You actually care about something?"

I scoffed. "No. I just think it's a waste."

Because if things continued the way they were supposed to—

She would be killed by the end of the game.

And I wasn't sure why, but…

Something about that didn't sit right with me.
