Chapter 302 The Silent Promise

After ending the call, Eleanor exited her bedroom and headed directly to Robert’s room. In the center of the dimly lit space, he lay on the bed, his eyes closed, a faint glow from the sun filtering through the heavy curtains. The light cast a soft hue over his finely chiseled features.

Moving carefully, Eleanor tiptoed closer, her gaze lingering on Robert’s face. She stood there silently, watching him. The color in his cheeks wasn’t as pale as before, and this slight improvement eased some of the tension weighing on her.
