19. Teo's Plan Sets In Motion

Matteo still played his role as Teo, the sheepish and random character to the dragon. He told the dragon of a hidden location in the first floor where a rare treasure was located. He knew that the dragon would not just believed him but he chose to listen nonetheless, since they discussed in a secluded area Matteo offered him proof which was a parchment torn off the map he had gotten earlier.

The map showed a location that even the veterans who tested the game had no knowledge of. It was the best way for him to keep most of the information on the rest of the map secret. He did not need the dragon getting more than intended if his plan failed.

"Oh wow, this is new information. Where did you get this." The dragon said with youthful enthusiasm.

From the way he acted Matteo guessed he had to be a year or two above him, he sighed and responded in a slightly shaky tone. "Oh, I found that when scavenging in the forest, I knew it had to be an extra item."

The dragon observed the puce of the map Two had handed to him and handed it back to him after a while. "Why are you giving this to me in the first place, aren't you afraid of me stealing the loot from you?"

Matteo faked a smile on his face and said. "It's a dungeon isn't it, I know of the great dragon. I thought if we could perhaps work together we could clear it."

The dragon stroke his chin as he thought hard on what Matteo had said, he then smiled handsomely and said. "Two, right? You seem like a good man, that's a rare thing to see around these parts. I like you."

This was one thing Matteo hated about the dragon, he despised his bravado and shoddy attempt to act like a saint.

The dragon spoke again, "Well while your offer is indeed intriguing I can't say the two of us will do it alone. If you won't mind we might need more manpower."

As much as Matteo did not want more numbers, he knew more was better. Also Teo would not have the spine to refuse such an offer from the famous dragon.

"I don't mind really, but um..." Teo feigned ignorance and asked. "How do we split the rewards.

The dragon stroke his cheek again and thought for a short while before coming up with a reply. "I'm not really sure since we will be going together into an uninhabited place with the chances of survival being unknown. Also the team putting their lives on the line, it's a hard thing to guess now but I'll let you decide."

Teo gasped in shock. "You sure about that, Mr dragon?"

The dragon smiled and said. "Sure, you seem like an alright guy. Besides stop calling me that, it's weird, my name's Ryan Hunt. Let's go with that." He held his hand for a shake to show that they had sealed the deal.

Teo did not hold back as he shook the man's hand a bit weakly. "Mr Hunt, that's a cool name."

Ryan Hunt nodded his head in agreement before saying. "Besides what's your class, and do you have any weapons?"

Teo paused for a bit before answering.

Matteo had wanted to keep his class a secret but he second guessed it. If he lied about his class then dragon could plan his downfall before he executed his plan. On the other hand telling Ryan his class would let him plan around it.

Teo chuckled nervously before pulling our a small iron dagger from his inventory. "Assasin class, all I got now is this shabby knife but I know I can get better in future."

To Teo's surprise Ryan exploded in surprised drawing the attention of some on-lookers to them. In a friendly gesture he threw his hands around Teo's shoulder and pulled him closer. "That's great, we don't have standard equipment either but with you in the team, we'll have two assasins. How great is that?"

Matteo hated others violating his personal space and it took all of his willpower not to drive the dagger into Ryan's gullet.

But what was this about another assassin in the group, Matteo was starting to think that Two would have a hard trouble keeping up his ruse as an assassin but then he remembered that Noble Zero knew about almost most melee classes at their basic level. He set the time to meet to be at dawn by the town of beginnings gate.

He only had one more thing to prepare for and that being his plan to hunt the pack of black hound wolf beast to get stronger. He had ideas that many other might have the audacity to try it but he needed to be sure that he was stronger than his new team, if he was going to execute his plan to kill the dragon.
