Ava turned to Megan, curious and eager to settle into school life.

"So… how do I join the class groups?" she asked.

"Of course!" Megan replied, and they exchanged numbers.

"So, do you live around here, or do you stay in the school hostel?" Ava asked.

Megan shook her head. "Nope, not really. I'm still staying with my parents because my apartment isn't quite ready yet. Just some final touches left. My house is also quite far, so it's really tiring, but hopefully, by next week, I'll be moving in."

"Oh," Ava nodded. "I stay in an apartment too. It's really small and not exactly my style, but since I'm still a fresher, I plan on moving out soon."

Before they could continue, the lecturer walked in, cutting their conversation short.

The class went on, and when it was time to sign the attendance sheet, Ava quickly leaned toward Megan.

"How many times have they signed attendance?" she whispered.

"Three times so far," Megan answered.
