Chapter 7: A Fresh Start and a New Friend
Ava had no choice but to call her roommate for the apartment address. Feeling utterly exhausted, she asked around, found a taxi, and finally made it back home. The moment she stepped inside, she took a long shower and collapsed into bed.
The next day, Ava was determined not to repeat yesterday's disaster. This time, she planned her day properly and put together a look she had always admired—a flowery crop top, a mini skirt, long socks, and a pair of glasses. She had always been a fan of these styles, but never had the confidence to wear them.
As soon as she stepped out of her apartment, heads started turning. Ava's heart began to race. Did I make a mistake? Do I look weird? Her insecurities screamed at her, making her doubt herself—until she overheard someone whisper,
"Wow, her shape is so good!"
That was enough to boost her confidence, and she continued her walk, feeling slightly better.
When she reached her faculty, the place was packed. She sighed, wondering if she should just find a quiet corner to sit and wait. Spotting an empty spot, she quickly went over—only to realize she wasn't alone.
Sitting there was a breathtakingly beautiful girl. She was very fair-skinned, slightly short, with shoulder-length hair and striking blue eyes. She looked like a rare gem, someone who naturally stood out.
Ava stole a few glances, gathering the courage to speak.
"Sorry, hi! My name is Ava. I'm in this faculty, but… I don't really know what we are doing right now."
The girl turned to her with a warm smile.
"My name is Megan, and I'm also in this faculty! You can join our class groups and courses. From there, you'll understand everything better."
Ava smiled back, feeling a sense of relief. Maybe today won't be so bad after all.
