Not Pride, But a Great Character

By Biplob Kabiraz

Everyone is fascinated by pride, not character,Many are skilled in words, but not in deeds.Even fools speak wise words,Yet they waste time carelessly.

When in trouble, they chant the Lord's name,But forget their faith when in danger, bowing in vain.Is that true worship? For those captivated by pride, not character.

Even if not captivated by pride, they speak of character,If the character is beautiful, one becomes the most beautiful.Everyone speaks of religion,But without humanity, one is not human.

Forget religion, caste, and race,Everyone calls good, good.Judge not by pride, but by character,Recognize a person by their heart.

Those lacking humanity,Engrossed in pride, yet without glory. In building character, a person becomes proud,Not pride, but a great character.
