4 Day Battle

Ryusei and I went back to P.E. As we walked back something didn't feel right, a strange sense within the air we felt. We kept our guard up for the rest of the time, not knowing when they could attack.

Erika is also in our class, but it seems like she didn't come to class today. If she were here, she would've been our first problem to deal with.

P.E. went past and now it was time for lunch. We went to our usual spot, the field steps. Takamei couldn't join us because she was still helping her class for their own event.

"Yo Suika, I've been feeling strange ever since leaving the infirmary." Ryusei takes a bite out of the Onigiri in his hand.

"Me too. I just get a weird feeling that someone is just stalking us, but I can't see them."

"You think is one of Rory's guards?" He takes another bite.

"Who else could it be? It has to be one of them."

I look around, seeing the other students eating and playing around. Everything looks normal but it isn't. That weird feeling is still there, but everywhere I look I can't find anything. I turn back to Ryusei.

"Ryusei, do you know any of his guards?"

"To be honest, no. For more explanation they are called Trilogy Knights, it seems like they were already formed before coming to the school last year. People really only know Erika but the other two are basically unknown. They go to school but people just don't know who they are."

"Now what you're saying does make a lot of sense. We both are having this strange feeling, but we can't scope out the person because people don't know who they are."

"It's scary, you know. We could've walked past one of them coming to this spot. They're probably really closer than we actually think."

"Wait, you'd say that they were already formed before coming here?"

"Yea, that's what I heard last year. It seems that even in middle school Rory was a king."

"And so, he's continuing that ideology of his within High school. I don't know what he did in middle school, but if it's the same as what he's doing now. He really is a sick human being."

The Trilogy Knights, just how strong they truly are. I already know the strength of Erika but it has been two months, so that could've changed. I wouldn't lie and say I'm not scared just a little, my whole life could change later this afternoon. But I can't fear holding me down. These 4 days are going to be tough.

We start to finish our lunch. After we'd finished there was still time left before lunch ended so we decided to go to Professor Amane. To officially sign up for the Fight show.

We got up and made our way inside the school building. The strange feeling still surrounding us, seemingly to be with us everywhere we go.

Professor Amane was on the first floor, so it didn't take us long to get there. After a few minutes we were at the front door, I raised my hand to the door and knocked. I then put my hand on the doorknob and opened the door.

 "Professor Amane?" I asked.

Professor Amane, was working on some papers. He looked up and saw Ryusei and I standing in the doorway, he smiled and waved his hand gesturing for us to come in.

We both went inside, Ryusei closing the door behind us. We walked up to his desk and sat in the two chairs right in front of him. Professor Amane stacks the papers he was working on and puts them to the side, now putting his full attention onto us.

"So I can probably guess why you two are here?"

"What, you can read minds now?" Ryusei asked.

"Oh yes, I know what you're thinking right now Ryusei." Professor Amane smirks.

He closes his eyes, putting his finger on both sides of his head. I sat there just shaking my head. Can't believe what's going on right now. Then he opened his eyes.

"Ah, you're thinking about the Fight Show Ryusei." Ryusei gasps, seeming to be shocked.

"Omg how did you know that? That's so crazy. You can really read minds Professor Amane."

"Ryusei you really can't be serious right now? That man can not read minds, he's just joking with you. It was obvious that we were coming to talk about the fight show."

"Awww don't ruin the fun. You're just a hater because he read my mind and not yours."

"Ryusei you kno-" I just sigh heavily and look at Professor Amane. "Yes we came to talk about the Fight show, we both want to sign up."

"I see, I knew you both would come here sooner or later. I'm glad you both are participating."

He bent over to his left and opened his desk drawer, pulling out a piece of paper. Can see at the top of the paper it says Fight Show.

"But I am really glad you two are participating."

"Why is that? You really want to see us fight?" I asked.

"Yes but not that many people are signing up."

"But isn't this like the main attraction of the whole event? Why aren't that many people signing up?"

"It's because of Rory." Ryusei chimes in.

"Ryusei is right. The way Rory dominated last year's Fight Show, not everyone wanted to join this year. It's either they are not strong or they are scared of Rory."

"...Rory was that powerful huh?"

"Yes, he was that terrifying in last year's Fight Show Suika. He even beat Ryusei here in less than two minutes."

"Hey! You don't need to bring that up ok. Trust me professor, this year is going to be different!"

"I hope so, Ryusei… I've never seen you so defeated before in my life."

Professor Amane grabs a pen and writes both of our names down onto the paper. He holds the paper up showing our names on it.

"It's done. I wish you both the best of luck on Thursday." He smiled, putting the paper back down.

Ryusei and I stand up and bow to him, thanking him for the help. After that we head towards the door and head out. As I close the door behind us. The bell rings, signaling that Lunch as ended and heading back to your classes.

"Are we really staying after school?" Ryusei asked.

"Yes. Rory isn't just going let us be free, after interfering with those bullies that work for him. He wants us gone before the tournament."

"And if we take down the Trilogy Knights early, by Thursday the Fight Show is the only thing to worry about."

"Yep. But don't forget this is also about taking down Rory too, he is still our main objective."

"I understand. But let's hurry to class before we're late."

I nodded and we both headed off to class. The clock started to tick at this moment, Ryusei and I don't know if we're coming out of this fight unharmed but we both believe we can bring down the king himself.

Went up to the second floor and entered the class. Like usual Rory is never there. I wonder if he gets in trouble for not coming to class a lot.

Ryusei and I went to our seats and sat down. Now we just play, we just play the waiting game, school ends within an hour and 30 minutes. But because of the Kyoto Magical Event many students and staff members are probably going to stay late.

I didn't care about that though. I'm still going to wait. Wait until there is basically nobody in the school anymore.

Professor Amane came into the class, and began teaching. Time seemingly starts to slow down, the only thing I can hear through my ears is the clock. Hearing it tick every few seconds.

I was anxious. Who wouldn't be? In an hour I might be fighting for my life. But I knew I had to stay strong and calm myself down. I have to stay focused.

An hour and 30 minutes later, the bell rings. Indicating the end of school. The students start to chat and pack up their things. But Ryusei and I didn't move a single muscle. We knew what's going to happen soon.

After a few minutes the class was cleared out and Ryusei and I were the only ones here. Ryusei turns around and looks at me.

"Seems like there are still people at the school."

"Yea, most of them are staying after to finish up preparing for the event. The clubs and sports are canceled all this week so we don't have to worry about those." I looked out of the window beside me. "Hey Ryusei, why do you think Rory hides the Trilogy Knights?"

"Well I wouldn't really hide. Because it's not like he doesn't want people to really know about them, it's that he has no reason to show them."

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"All freshman year the Trilogy Knights were basically unknown, why because Rory didn't have to use them. No one did not oppose Rory or tried to go against his ways. People kinda assumed Erika was one of them because each time Rory's name came out of someone's mouth, she would stalk them like a hawk."

"It's like when she was staring at me 24/7 two months ago."

"Yea, like that. But for the other two like I said, we just don't know who they are. But they must be students around us."

"One of those two is definitely going to appear."

"Yea, lets just stay ready for anything Suika."

"Yep. Oh we should text our parents, we might be here for a while."

Ryusei nodded and we both pulled out our phones. I texted my mom, telling her I'll be late coming home. Ryusei texted his dad the same thing. And so now we wait.

20 minutes go past and nothing. Then 50 minutes, an hour, and hour and 40 minutes nothing yet. But I could hear basically nothing within the school no more. Then two hours pass, Ryusei sighs heavily, seeming to be tired of waiting.

"Suika, let's just go. The sun was almost down and no one came into the class. Maybe Rory didn't send anybody. I guess we were too anxious."

"Then what was that strange feeling we've been feeling ever since taking that boy to the infirmary?"

"I guess that was us just making up our own fear of Rory's guards." He stood up grabbing his bag. "Rory is probably not even worried about us, so let's go."

I didn't want to believe his words. I knew what I've been feeling the whole day wasn't just my fear. Was it? Was I really that afraid of facing one of the Trilogy Knights? I just shook my head and stood up grabbing my bag.

Ryusei put a hand on my shoulder and gave me a soft smile.

"It's going be okay Suika, we got Rory at the Fight show right?"

"..Yea. We got him at the Fight Show."

We headed to the door, and slid it open. As we stepped out, I saw something out of the corner of my eyes. I turned to my left and looked down the hallway.

About 15 feet away was a person, He is a fairly-tall teenager, and has somewhat of an athletic build. Having long, jet-black hair, and his bangs fall slightly in his eyes, with strands on the sides of his bangs framing his face. He had a choker on with small spikes hanging out.

Their black and grey jacket is worn inside-out, but the seams are expertly tailored to make it look intentional. And his purple colored eyes seem to glow in the hallway.

"Suika Fukumoto and Ryusei Fubuki… I'm Shona Kasumi."

He held up his right hand, and on the back of his hand showed a sword with the number 3 beside it.

"I'm the third of the Trilogy Knights and today is y'all death day." He grins wickedly ear to ear.

I could feel the pressure of his power from all the way over here. He wasn't even imitating any magical energy and I can already tell this wasn't a person to really play around with.

Me and Ryusei drop our bags to the ground. I start to crack my knuckles and Ryusei stretches his arms out.

"Hm, I knew it wasn't us just being scared, Ryusei. That guy was eyeing us the whole day."

"I guess you were right Suika, but it seems like we are going to have a serious fight on our hands."

"Yeah, but we are going in blind. We don't know his magical ability so stay focused."

Ryusei nodded. Shona starts to walk towards us slowly, I can see the indigo color of magical energy start to form around him. Still smiling wickedly as he walks.

"I hope the two of you can perform well on y'all final day. With that said, let's get this party STARTED!!!" He shouts.
