Chapter 33: The Fall of Wu Bin

Jiang Zhiyu placed a thick stack of documents onto the table. The papers detailed every instance of Wu Bin's corruption, and the total amount was staggering.

"Mr. Wu, I suggest you take a look at this information first."

Wu Bin hesitantly picked up the documents. The moment his eyes scanned the figures, his face turned deathly pale.

These records detailed every yuan he had embezzled from the company's funds.

The company's veteran, Wang Yuheng, grabbed the documents and flipped through them. His expression grew darker with each page.

"Wu Bin, I can't believe you've siphoned over eight million yuan from Huaifeng over the years!"

Gasps erupted around the conference room.

More than eight million!

The revelation sent a shockwave through the shareholders. Some of Wu Bin's closest allies visibly tensed, their expressions shifting from confidence to unease.

Jiang Zhiyu took a slow sip of coffee before turning her gaze to the head of the company's legal department.

"Mr. Li, could you clarify the legal consequences of such an offense?"

The legal head didn't hesitate. "According to the laws of China, embezzling public funds amounting to eight million yuan carries a sentence of 10 to 15 years in prison."

Wu Bin's body trembled.

Over a decade in prison—by the time he got out, he'd be past fifty. His career, his status, everything would be ruined!

The room filled with murmurs.

"I didn't expect President Jiang to have such irrefutable evidence."

"More than eight million… He was feeding off the company like a parasite."

"No wonder the Lenovo deal was a disaster. Wu Bin was sabotaging us all along!"

"He was probably eyeing the president's seat, trying to get rid of Jiang Han and Jiang Zhiyu."

Hearing the rising voices of condemnation, Wu Bin's supporters sat stiffly, their confidence shattered.

Wu Bin, his face pale and filled with resentment, let out a hollow laugh.

"Jiang Zhiyu, this is what your family owes me!"

His sudden outburst stunned the room.

"I've followed Jiang Hao for 18 years! I gave everything to this company, yet I was only given 4.8% of the shares and a vice president's position! Do you think that's fair?"

Wang Yuheng slammed the table, his patience finally snapping.

"Wu Bin, this isn't the first time you've crossed the line!

Eight years ago, you embezzled project funds. President Jiang forgave you because of your contributions to the company.

And yet, you kept repeating your mistakes!

You built your own faction within the company, thinking we wouldn't notice?

Even now, with solid proof of your crimes, President Jiang was willing to let you walk away quietly. But instead of gratitude, you turned on the Jiang siblings, trying to seize power for yourself!"

The air was thick with tension. The truth was out, and there was no escaping it.

Wu Bin's eyes darkened as he glared at Jiang Zhiyu.

"What do you want?"

Jiang Zhiyu stirred her coffee lazily, her voice cold and indifferent.

"You embezzled public funds. I have no choice but to call the police."

At the mention of the police, Wu Bin's face turned ashen. He collapsed into his chair, all fight drained from him.

He had aimed to become the president of Huaifeng, but instead, he was headed for prison.

His cronies remained silent, unwilling to be dragged down with him.

The minor shareholders exchanged hushed whispers.

"I never thought Wu Bin would end up like this."

"He got too greedy."

"If he hadn't burdened the company with so much debt, maybe Miss Jiang wouldn't have pushed him into a corner."

Just then, the conference room doors swung open.

A figure stepped in, causing another stir of surprise.

It was Jiang Han.

"Jiang Han? What is he doing here?"

Jiang Zhiyu's cold demeanor softened slightly upon seeing him.

"Xiaohan, why did you come back?"

Jiang Han patted her shoulder reassuringly. "I couldn't leave you to deal with this alone."

Jiang Zhiyu smiled faintly. While Jiang Han was kind, she doubted he could contribute much in this situation.

But then, Jiang Han turned to Wu Bin, his tone calm but firm.

"Mr. Wu, if you don't want to go to jail, there's another solution."

Wu Bin, caught off guard, frowned. "Another solution?"

"You leave the company and sell me your shares. Out of consideration for your years of service, I'll give you two million yuan. What do you say?"

Jiang Zhiyu immediately understood Jiang Han's intent.

Currently, she and Jiang Han controlled 67% of the shares.

Wu Bin's shares were worth at least five million on the market. But if he didn't want to face a lengthy prison sentence, he had no choice but to sell them for far less.

By acquiring his shares, the siblings would consolidate even greater control over Huaifeng.

She lowered her voice and whispered to Jiang Han, "Xiaohan, the evidence we have is enough to send him to prison for ten years. Do you really want to let him go?"

Jiang Han's expression was firm. "The priority right now is securing the shares."

Wu Bin clenched his fists.

Jiang Han was forcing him into a corner.

If he refused, there were other charges beyond corruption—he could easily face fifteen years in prison.

But if he sold his shares at a loss, he would never be able to make a comeback.

Jiang Han raised an eyebrow. "Well, Mr. Wu? I don't have all day."

Wu Bin bit his lip so hard that it almost bled. Finally, he spat out his answer through gritted teeth.

"…Fine."

The moment Wu Bin agreed, the room erupted into chaos.

The once-mighty vice president of Huaifeng had fallen.
