Chapter 32: The Last Stand

Wu Bin's mind was in turmoil. He had covered his tracks meticulously—how had Jiang Zhiyu managed to dig this up?

Despite his internal panic, he maintained a calm facade.

"Miss Jiang, that recording may sound like me, but I have never said those words."

One of his supporters immediately echoed, "These days, technology can manipulate voices, splicing words together to create entirely false statements. Someone inside the company must be framing Mr. Wu!"

"Yes! Mr. Wu would never do such a thing!"

Jiang Zhiyu's gaze swept over the crowd, noticing that those defending Wu Bin were his close allies, while the neutral shareholders remained silent.

She leaned forward slightly. "Mr. Wu, if you admit to your wrongdoing now, I'm willing to settle this privately. Sell your shares, and I won't involve the police."

Wu Bin's face darkened. His cronies looked equally unsettled.

But he clenched his jaw. "This is a setup."

Jiang Zhiyu sighed. "Wu Bin, voice analysis can determine whether a recording is real or fake. But I won't waste time proving that."

She gestured toward the door. "Instead, I've invited an old friend. Please, come in."

The door opened, and to everyone's shock—

"Liu Chaodong!?"

A shareholder gasped in disbelief.

Wu Bin's stomach dropped.

Liu Chaodong, looking haggard, walked in. "I've come back to turn myself in."

Wu Bin's expression twisted. "Jiang Zhiyu, so this was your plan all along! You bribed Liu Chaodong to frame me and push me off the board!"

His allies immediately rallied.

"Yes! This is just a ploy to keep control of the company."

"Your brother made a bet with President Wu, and now that the deadline is approaching, you're resorting to dirty tricks!"

"President Wu built half of Huaifeng. You can't just kick him out like this!"

Jiang Zhiyu snorted. "Enough."

She turned to Liu Chaodong. "Tell them the truth."

The room fell into tense silence.

Liu Chaodong swallowed hard before speaking. "It's all my fault. I was too greedy."

He let out a heavy sigh.

"When our company secured the Lenovo contract, it was a huge step forward. I was thrilled. President Jiang took me in, gave me opportunities I never expected. But one moment of weakness ruined everything.

That day, President Wu approached me. He offered me 500,000 yuan to ignore defects in Lenovo's batch of computers. My father-in-law was critically ill, and we needed money for his surgery in the U.S.

I took the money."

Wu Bin snapped, his voice laced with fury. "Liu Chaodong, don't slander me! Where's your proof? That recording alone won't hold up!"

One of Wu Bin's supporters sneered. "You accepted a bribe, and now you're throwing someone else under the bus? How convenient."

Liu Chaodong clenched his fists. "I have proof."

Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a USB drive. "Wu Bin thought he destroyed all evidence, but I made a backup."

Wu Bin's face drained of color.

At that moment, Jiang Zhiyu's phone buzzed. She glanced at the screen before looking up, her lips curling into a victorious smile.

"Mr. Wu, we've also located Li Zhou. Would you like to meet him?"

The room erupted into whispers.

"It's true? Wu Bin really did it?"

"I heard he's been making money under the table for years."

"So President Jiang knew all along but waited for the right moment…"

Jiang Zhiyu pulled a stack of documents from a folder and tossed them onto the table.

"This," she said coldly, "is what I found in my father's study."
