Gentle Devil (2)

It's almost midnight. Lilith had been pacing in the room, glancing nervously at the entrance.

"Don't tell me he really won't come here," she murmured, her spirit lifting momentarily before she sighed and sat on the bed with her hand on her cheek. "He can be quite temperamental," she gritted her teeth together and punched the bed. Just then, the door opened, and she immediately stood up, her face filled with smiles and happiness.

"Husband, you are finally here," she murmured, blushing slightly.

"Um... My Queen, it's me," Delilah spoke softly.

"Ehn!" Lilith was dumbfounded, looking at Delilah. Her first reaction was to glance behind her, but there was no one there. She could only sit on the bed in a sour mood. "He really won't come, huh? I thought he said he loved me!" She punched the bed angrily. "Never mind; I will just sleep like that." She threw her pillow away in frustration.

Delilah opened her mouth, seemingly wanting to say something, but hesitated. "My... my Queen, actually... I... I intended to go and call the king earlier, but... but..." She stammered nervously.

Lilith turned her gaze to Delilah. "What happened?" she questioned, her expression filled with curiosity.

Delilah immediately went to her knees and bowed. "My Queen, please believe this maid. Your sister actually has some ideas toward the king; she's trying every means to snatch him from you, but the king is innocent" she reported.

Lilith raised her brows and remained silent.

"My Queen, I will accept whatever punishment you give me, but please don't trust your sister. She isn't honest with you," Delilah added, her body and voice quivering.

Lilith rested her chin on her knuckles and slowly opened her mouth. "Aiya, why are you so addicted to kneeling and shivering? Stand up first," she commented.

Delilah was stunned and didn't dare to stand, fearing she might just be hearing things or that it was an illusion. What the queen hated most, aside from being called the Devil Bride, was accusations against her sister. She would forgive no one, even if it was the king himself.

Lilith could understand Delilah's fear and could only sigh as she walked up to her, lifting her up. "Don't be like this; you just reported a betrayal. Why are you acting as if you are in the wrong?" she smiled.

Delilah's eyes widened. "My Queen," she stammered, not daring to believe her ears.

Lilith chuckled. "Well, she's not the only one who knows how to seduce a man," her eyes took on a mischievous glint. "I'm also quite good at it," she muttered and vanished.

"Ah, my Queen!" Delilah was stunned when Lilith suddenly disappeared. "It can't be that she's going to confront the king! Did I make a mistake by reporting this to her?" she murmured, panic evident on her face. She turned back and forth in distress, trying to think of a solution but finding none, her only option was to pray for things to go smoothly.

Inside the study room, the lady was just a few feet away from the Devil. She picked up a snack and gently passed it to him. "My King, my sister is so childish that she can't see what's good for her. But at the same time, feelings can't be forced; the more you compel her, the more hatred she'll develop for you. I'm her sister, and of course, I care for her, but I care more for your majesty. Why don't you consider giving another female a chance?" she spoke in a seductive voice, placing the snack inside the small bowl she had prepared for the Devil.

Satan clenched his fists together and looked at the lady. "You..." He couldn't finish his statement before he received a glare from the Devil, making him swallow back whatever he wanted to say.

"Oh," the Devil released another puff of smoke. "Is that so?" he commented.

The lady smiled in satisfaction. Even though she felt closer to her goal, she still didn't dare to make physical contact with him. Instead, she leaned on the table in front of him, deliberately allowing him a glimpse of her cleavage.

"Of course... But I can sense that you love my sister dearly. How about we both hook up, ah, don't get me wrong, I mean we might as well just pretend to be in love in front of my sister? If she witnesses our intimacy, she will undoubtedly be jealous, and who knows, maybe she'll even throw herself at you," she smiled charmingly.

The Devil's gaze remained focused on his cigarette, even though there was a tempting prize in front of him. He smiled, a smile that sent chills down the spine of anyone who saw it.

He puffed out another cloud of smoke, and he was about to make the final decision when a sweet fragrance suddenly drifted into his nostrils. He felt a soft body taking shape on his lap.

At first, he frowned, but later that murderous smile that had been on his face transformed into a loving one.

"Oh, how come I wasn't aware that my sister is so caring to the point that she's even concerned about my marriage life? That's sweet, isn't it?" Lilith's voice echoed. At that moment, she had fully taken form and was seated elegantly on the Devil's lap, her leg crossed, which revealed her beautifully fair leg. The entire room magically lit up, banishing the darkness that had previously enveloped the study.

The clear view of the study room was now visible without the presence of shadows.

"Ah!" the lady who had been in the process of seducing the Devil gasped in shock at the sudden presence of Lilith, quickly pulling her dress up to cover herself properly.

"You are quite adept at seducing other people's men, or should I say, you're quite skilled at seducing your sister's man, Merima," Lilith remarked, her smile that of a ruthless being.

Not only was the Devil stunned, but Satan, who was still in the study room, was equally taken aback.

"Ehn... what's going on here? The Queen is sitting on the King's lap, and... and she seems to be claiming the King for herself. Is it me that's hallucinating, or is the Queen possessed?" he pondered, looking at Lilith's beautiful face with a dumbfounded look plastered on his face.
