The warehouse reeked of fire, blood, and defeat. Jackson was barely conscious, his body charred and twitching. Emily groaned, crushed beneath slabs of twisted metal. Annie, scarred, brave, gasping, knelt defenseless under Gladiator’s blade. Carter was gone. Taken. Maybe dead. 


The remaining Legion members stood above them like gods. 


Gladiator raised her sword with a cold, victorious smirk. 


“This is what hope looks like,” she whispered, bringing the blade down... 


A blinding blue flash burst through the roof with a deafening roar. Shards of steel and concrete rained down as a sonic shockwave erupted, blasting everyone off balance.
