In a training room aboard his family spaceship Michael did nothing else but train the combat technique he chose and familiarize himself with the Force battle spear.
This spear weighing 1000 tons took a lot of effort just moving around, talk less welding in combat training.
Every aspect of his physique was been exerted.
With his monstrous strength and his excessive stamina, tiring out was a bit foreign for Michael.
In fact it was difficult for him to get tired, he hardly could.
Yet he did with the 1000 ton Force battle spear, just 5 minutes of training with it was enough to do so.
Throwing himself into it, for 2 weeks all he did was train, contemplate the combat technique, rest a while when exhausted and eat voraciously when hungry.
With this gruesome strain his potential seemed to bubble up, his strength increasing by bounds and from him being able to barely weild the Force battle spear for a five minutes to half an hour time.
Half an hour wasn't a long time in battle yet being able to weild a 1000 ton weapon was a mammoth feat.
It required far more strength and physical attributes to swing around a weapon in combat than to just lift it.
The combat technique he had chosen wasn't complex.
As a Birth realm cultivator he couldn't cultivate advanced combat, awakened giant spirit was the basic parameter to drive high level giant cultivation or combat techniques.
Coupled with his lack of fire elemental affinity, he really wasn't suited or able to cultivate many powerful techniques Fire giant techniques.
Giant race techniques especially powerful ones had their core requirements.
The awakening realm was when giants awakened their innate spirituality and elemental affinity, but for talented giants there were usually traces of their elemental affinity trait even at the Birth realm ( 1st realm of Giant cultivation)
Powerhouses or specialized treasures could also discern bloodline talent and affinity to some extent.
But only awakening could truly ascertain a giants talents.
For Michael there was no traces or discernment. And although practicing an elemental technique without the innate elemental affinity was possible, he didn't have any interest in doing so.
he just didn't feel like, innately he didn't feel a sense of affinity to the Fire elemental affinity unique to Fire giants, but neither did he feel an attraction.
So he wasn't going to force it.
he went simple. The combat technique of his choosing was the " War Codex ".
The War Codex wasn't a treasured or advanced technique, it was a compoundenium of various foundation weapon techniques.
A basic book of numerous fighting arts.
Foundational weapon techniques were the basis of weapon training, a Sword foundation technique taught the basis of sword combat.
This ordinary simplistic large book illustrating the basics of weapon combat, he liked it, he chose it.
Having been in the Birth realm for while not and not being able to advance, Michael hadn't spent his time idle.
He had trained in foundational sword, blade and spear arts before, so training in much more excited him!
He was a battle maniac, cool headed and composed different from typical battle maniacs.
He wasn't impulsive nor did he go hot headedly seeking fights.
Spending a large part of his idle time training himself, but in a war like race of giants, battles came to him, siblings sparring to establish hierarchy, outside or some peers thinking him easy to bully.
When he did have to, when he did want to, he fought!
Seldomly taking action, those that knew him, knew his strength.
The combat room had a weapon rack with different steel weapons, although not star ranked weapons they were durable enough.
He used them to practice the various foundational weapon techniques.
Foundational weapon techniques were far simple compared to advanced combat techniques, but this basic weapons forms he mastered and ingrained them into muscle memory over and over again.
But placing his bulk training emphasis on the Force battle spear and Spear foundational techniques.
For the another 2 weeks he did the same as the previous , train, eat and recuperate.
Swinging a broadsword he was about to change to another weapon for practice when his watch communicator started beeping
When one did what they liked they didn't seem to be obvious to the flow of time, if not for the 1 month reminder he set on his communicator he wouldn't have known how long gone he was.
Sighing he drank a glass of water then went to freshen up, he couldn't delay any further he had to descend the spaceship and proceed to the battle arena.
...
The central latch of the spaceship opened and a black titanium alloy shuttle streaked towards the distance.
This black vehicle was Michael's personal mobile, a technology marvel, actually able to even transport Michael itself from the third sub planet to the Fire Giant World although at far lesser speeds.
This didn't make it inferior product, at all, customized, and with high end technological specifications, at all.
it was just that Az, Michael's father, third Prince of the Fire giant race clan and Ruler of the third sub planet , his spaceship as befitting his status was by far superior.
As a golden spoon, Royal descendant, Michael was privileged and had access to better things.
In the shuttle car Michael was on his way to the battle arena.
The King City was massive from the Palace landing pods to the battle arena was no small distance.
With the shuttle car automated to the location, Michael used the time to check his watch communicator for messages, battle updates and also appreciate the scenery of King city.
Most of his messages were from his family especially his mom asking where he was and why he wasn't yet in the Palace.
And a message from his only " friend ", playfully angry at his absence, with cute love emojis plattered almost every three words in the message.
He chuckled at this. Few could tug his heart like this girl.
It wasn't that Michael was antisocial or standoffish.
It was just that most of his social circle were nobles and Royal scions that were a bit pompous and arrogant.
With some looking down on him due to his slightly different giant features and slow Cultivation speed.
Coupled with him being reserved, cool and strong willed, these same pompous nobles found him pompous.
It wasn't this simple actually.
Michael knew the main reason why his peers found him pompous was because he was still strong willed despite still being in the Birth realm ( first realm of Giant cultivation) for a long while.
Despite not possessing the distinct reddish orange pupils of Royal fire Giants, despite not possessing the Fire elemental affinity of Fire Giants.
To them he was wasn't so special, so why did he carry himself like he was.
Why did he behave like taunts and scorns couldn't move him.
To the blue blooded Royal and noble Fire giants apart from massive innate strength there was nothing special about Michael.
Yet to lift his head among these situations made them envy him and to envy someone they looked down on made them dislike him.
Having been very intelligent and mature from an early age, Michael could discern his mates thought processes, but concerning them he didn't agree.
Was he arrogant!
If the whole world looked down on him and saw him as not so much, should he do the same to himself.
If the strong and genius lifted their heads high and the weak and those lacking of innate gifts or bloodlines lowered theirs, must he confirm to this same principle.
He wasn't so special or unique to others, but to himself he was.
Not that he thought himself most " this " or most " that " , but he was most " himself ".
Maybe he stayed in the Birth realm for the rest of his life and all his peers surpassed him, as contemplated by most.
Still no matter the trials and tribulations, this pride, this dignity of self, he wouldn't let go.
Pompous or arrogant, despised or mocked, he would raise his head.
Not that he wasn't feeling of this hurts.
Flesh and blood, could he be void of emotions, young as he was, was he really unhurt by taunts.
Yet he wouldn't staunch his spirit, this is his inner conviction.
This conviction or behavior made an outcast and rejected to even a few of his siblings.
Only this one friend, girl of his treated him not lowly but beautifully, making him feel a bit of the joy of youth and companionship, warming his heart.
