I stood in the park, feeling helpless and desperate. I had never felt such a deep pain before. I felt like I was losing the love of my life, and I didn't know how to stop it.
I pulled out my phone and dialed Jake's number, hoping against hope that he would answer. But it went straight to voicemail.
I tried again and again, but Jake wasn't responding. I felt like I was going crazy, wondering what I had done wrong and how I could fix it.
As the sun began to set, I realized that I had to do something drastic. I couldn't just sit around and wait for Jake to come around. I had to take action.
I decided to go to Jake's house and try to talk to him in person. Maybe if I could just see him, just talk to him, I could convince him to forgive me and give our relationship another chance.
I arrived at Jake's house, my heart pounding with anxiety. I took a deep breath and knocked on the door.
But when the door opened, it wasn't Jake who stood before me. It was Rachel, Jake's ex-girlfriend, and the person who had started all of this drama in the first place.
"Well, well, well," Rachel said, a sly smile spreading across her face. "Look what we have here. The little girlfriend, come to beg for forgiveness."
I felt a surge of anger, but I tried to keep my cool. "Rachel, please," I said. "I need to talk to Jake. It's urgent."
Rachel raised an eyebrow. "Oh, I don't think so," she said. "Jake doesn't want to talk to you. He's done with you, Mia. And I'm the one who's going to help him move on."
