Chapter 12:The final blow

I felt like I had been punched in the gut. Rachel's words were like a knife to my heart. I couldn't believe that Jake would move on so quickly, and with Rachel of all people.

I tried to keep my cool, but it was no use. I burst into tears, feeling like my world had come crashing down around me.

Rachel just laughed, a cold, cruel sound. "You're so pathetic," she said. "You thought you could steal Jake away from me, but you're just a temporary distraction. He'll always come back to me in the end."

I couldn't take it anymore. I turned and ran, leaving Rachel's mocking laughter behind me.

As I ran, I felt like I was losing everything. I was losing Jake, my friends, my reputation. I was losing myself.

I didn't know how much more I could take. I felt like I was at breaking point, and I didn't know if I would ever be able to put the pieces back together again.
