Chapter 21:Kiss

As Alex's lips touched mine, I felt a rush of excitement mixed with a hint of nervousness. It was as if time had stood still, and all that mattered was the two of us, lost in that moment.

The kiss was gentle, yet electrifying. I felt a spark of connection that went beyond just physical attraction. It was as if our hearts were beating in sync, our souls connecting on a deeper level.

As we pulled away, gasping for air, I saw the sparkle in Alex's eyes. He smiled, and I couldn't help but smile back.

"I've been wanting to do that all day," Alex said, his voice husky.

I blushed, feeling a flutter in my chest. "I've been wanting you to," I replied, my voice barely above a whisper.

We stood there for a moment, the tension between us palpable. Then, without thinking, Alex took my hand, and we began walking again.

The night air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers, and the sound of crickets provided a soothing background melody. We walked in comfortable silence, our hands entwined.

As we strolled through the quiet streets, I felt a sense of peace wash over me. It was as if I'd finally found what I'd been searching for – a connection that went beyond just friendship.

But little did I know, our newfound connection was about to be put to the test. A surprise was waiting for us, one that would change everything. ‎
