As we walked into the movie theater, the smell of buttery popcorn and the sound of chatter filled the air. Rachel led the way, buying our tickets and guiding us to the concession stand.
"What's the plan?" Alex asked, eyeing the rows of candy and snacks.
"We're seeing the new Marvel movie," Rachel replied, grinning mischievously. "And I'm buying the snacks."
Jake rolled his eyes good-naturedly. "You're going to bankrupt us, Rach."
Rachel just laughed, loading up on popcorn, candy, and soda.
As we made our way to our seats, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. It had been a while since I'd been to the movies with friends, and I was looking forward to a night of laughter and adventure.
The movie was action-packed and thrilling, with plenty of twists and turns to keep us on the edge of our seats. Alex and I sat together, our shoulders touching as we watched the screen.
As the credits rolled, we all cheered and clapped, grinning at each other.
"That was so much fun!" Rachel exclaimed, bouncing up and down.
Jake nodded in agreement. "Definitely one of the best movies I've seen all year."
As we filed out of the theater, Alex turned to me and smiled. "Want to grab some ice cream with me?" he asked, his eyes sparkling with mischief.
I nodded, feeling a flutter in my chest. "I'd love to."
And with that, Alex and I slipped away from the group, bound for a night of ice cream and who-knew-what other adventures.
