Living in Hallie Torre

LIVING IN HALLIE TORRE

Hallie's eyes widened as her heart got into her mouth.

"What just...." Hallie looked around, her eyes meeting with Logan, who for the first time in his life, had an expression on his face, an expression that no one could understand, "What happened to me?"

Logan turned to look at her as she said the last line, his hands immediately grabbed her collar tightly, as he dragged her closer to himself.

"What happened to you?" He scoffed, again and again, "What happened to you? Fvck! Nothing happened to you, Hallie, you just killed someone, you just killed...Edna." He let her collar go weakly as he fell to his knees, gulping hardly.

"No, No. Logan, you don't understand. Why am I lying down there? Why is my head broken apart? Why am I there? And why can I see myself?"

"Calm down, Hallie. What are you saying?" Neal came forward, his face covered with horror.

"Do you realize you just pushed Edna out of the window?" Kozette asked.

"No. I did not. I can't kill myself. Hallie....why am I inside Hallie's body?" Hallie muttered, her body vibrating, hands shaking.

"Okay, calm down, Hallie. You didn't kill yourself. The person you killed was Edna." With that, Marlo pointed downwards and Hallie blinked again.

"Exactly. Look at me, I'm Edna." Hallie pointed to herself, but no one was listening anymore.

**...**

Hallie stood solemnly, her hands placed on each other as they all stood in front of Principal Howart.

"How did you all...." Principal Howart gasped and stopped talking for a long time, he just stared at the ceiling and kept on shaking his leg worriedly.

"I don't know what to do." He bit his lips.

"First and foremost, Jessica, go to the tech room and tell them to clear all the CCTVs for today. If paradventure, the police comes, it would look like there was a blackout today." Principal Howart said and Jessica nodded.

"But sir," Hallie moved forward, "They are supposed to lock up Hallie for pushing me down the window."

"Are you crazy, Hallie? You want to be locked up for life for killing a commoner?"

"A commoner? Is that really what y'all think of me? You killed me! Hallie pushed me down and I fell down.... dead!" Hallie pushed the table angrily.

"Hallie!" The door opened and Gray walked in, in new clothes. When Edna had fallen down, her blood had splashed on his clothes and looking up, he saw his sister.

"Gray!" Hallie rushed to him, her voice breaking down.

"Tell them, I can't kill someone. I didn't kill Edna." She said.

"Calm down. Just calm down." Gray patted her shoulder, "They are going to delete the evidence."

"Delete what evidence?" Hallie got mad and hit Gray's hand away from her shoulder, "Are you all crazy? Hallie killed me and should go to jail for it. You....all of you." She pointed at them one by one and stopped at Logan who was sitting, his head bowed in his palms.

"All of you." She said coldly and walked back to Gray, "They are not going to delete the evidence. They are all going to jail."

The door opened again and Tom Torre walked inside, with his wife,Helena, trailing behind him and the President who Edna had never seen up close, but she was seeing him today, because in front of his son, Logan, a deadly crime has been committed.

"President Jacob Alston. First Lady Rita. Please have your seats." Howart said.

Suckers! They are all suckers!

Tom came close to his daughter, Hallie and raised his hand, giving her a slap on the cheek, that sent her head to the other side.

"Dad..." She gasped, tears rushing out of her eyes immediately.

"Are you crazy, Hallie? What are you saying about going to jail? That would never happen, okay? Never!!" He shot at her and Hallie scoffed lightly.

"Never happen? You ganged up against me like this when I was alive. You daughter, your son and every other person in this room and now you won't even let them pay the price for their sins?" She raised her brows.

"Hallie, listen to me..." Helena stepped forward.

"I am not Hallie, I am Edna!!" She shot and the whole room went quiet. Logan raised his head and stood up coming close to her.

"You are Edna?" He scoffed.

"What?" Hallie blinked.

"You are saying you are Edna?" He raised a brow.

"No. Logan. I'm.... I'm not Edna...what's wrong with me...I can't feel myself. What am I doing?"

**...**

The beeping machine indicated that they were in the hospital. Hallie's eyes were shut tight as she has been induced to sleep after ranting madly and confusedly for a long time.

"What's wrong with her?" Tom asked, staring at Doctor Lia. She sighed and turned to him.

"I think she's just very shocked. She's confusing herself with Edna." Lia explained.

"She's confusing herself with someone she killed?" Tom smirked, fisting her hands, "I didn't train her up to be this weak."

"Don't worry, Mr Tom. By the time she wakes up, she will be herself." Lia said and walked out of the room.

"Hallie, you need to be strong. You are not this weak." Tom said, touching her hands.

"Hey, I think she's just overwhelmed." Helena patted him slowly.

"Overwhelmed? By what? Because she mistakenly pushed a girl down the window and she broke her fvcking head?" Tom shot and immediately Hallie's grip on his hand stiffened. He sighed deeply and forcefully removed his hands from hers.

"By the time she wakes up, she'll be fine. If she isn't, then I have no choice than to forcefully wipe her memory off." With that, Tom walked out of the VVIP ward.

"Darling." Helena muttered as she sat beside Hallie, holding her hand tightly, "Please be fine for me." She prayed.

"Do you think Hallie would be fine?" The president asked, his hands tucked in his suit trousers.

"She will be." Tom sighed.

"The moment she's fine, let her rest for about a week at home. We should rush their marriage, Tom."

"Now? But Hallie is just about to become 19." Tom said.

"She had won the best teenage actress six times in a row. She's now a lady and know how to take care of herself." Jacob said.

"President, I think..."

"Logan would be ready at anytime." He said, glancing at Logan who stood up and walked closer to them.

Determination set in his eyes as he got to them, "I'm not marrying Hallie. She's a murderer, cancel the engagement." He said flatly and Jacob smirked.

"You think this is something you can just cancel at any time?" He raised a brow.

"Father! You want me to marry a murderer?" Logan shot and Jacob raised his hands, hitting him immediately. Logan spit out blood as he felt his insides bleed.

He scoffed lightly, cleaning the blood from his lips.

"Just lay low and graduate highschool. And prepare for marriage." Jacob said.

"I'm not getting married to Hallie and that's final!" Logan walked out of the area, past the numerous guards and walked outside the hospital building.

"What's going on?" Marlo asked.

"Go in and check yourself." Logan snickered and got into his car, riding off immediately.

"Log..." Rita was too late to come outside cos Logan had left.

**...**

Hallie's eyes opened as she stared at the clean white ceiling. Her eyes flickered for a moment before she could finally hold them up.

What's going on?

Am I finally dead?

Did Hallie go to prison?

She felt hair on her skin and turned, only to see Hallie's mother, sleeping, their fingers entangled tightly like she would plan to run.

Hallie stayed still, gulping down nothing as she stared at Helena's sleeping figure, hair sprawled against her skin.

She looked at herself, her hands, the brown wavy hair that replaced her own short black hair, sharp eyes that could see that replaced her own which constantly needed glasses. She wasn't chubby but was slim now and Hallie's mother was right here.

"I'm sharing Hallie's body?" She muttered and her eyes widened.

"I'm sharing Hallie's body!"
