The shrill laughter of the president reverberated through the house as the family all say down to watch the news that was playing right now, explaining the death of Principal Howart in the tragic accident.
It sounds very normal, an everyday collision of two vehicles that led to numerous death and what safety men have been positioned every where in the country to prevent.
"This is very good, huh? Else Howart would have put us in trouble. I was even thinking about this but someone had it done already." Jacob laughed.
Logan stared at the TV concentratingly. In an hit like where the two people involved died, the perpetrator would have definitely paid the actor for his life. Enough 'whatever it was' to make him risk his life. Probably safety and money for his family or something more that was worth dying for. Something Logan couldn't place his hand on.
The perpetrator would also be somewhere, somewhere the cameras wouldn't catch him easily, to watch if the job had been done very well. He had thought it was his father, but with his father's character like this, he was very sure he was out of the probability. Who could have ousted him like this?
"Logan, aren't you excited? This would put everyone at ease, including the family of Torre." Jacob laughed, patting Logan's back and Logan sighed.
"This could put us in trouble, dad. Who'll be the main suspect?" Clearly, his father hadn't thought of that.
"There would be no main suspect, Logan. This was done perfectly. If I didn't have my hands in these kind of things, even I wouldn't know that this was a plan. The vehicles involved had their drivers dead. Very natural, isn't it?" He asked and Logan thought about it, it was true. The person behind the scenes was someone very smart and also someone very cunning.

"I'll be staying here." Jerald said adamantly as a chair and a table was brought into the classroom.
"What do you mean, Jerald? Go to some other class and do your thing!" Kozette shot. She was definitely angry about something. They were all angry about something, even Hallie. She had been unusually quiet.
"It's none of your business, Kozette. I seat where I want and no one is going to stop me!" Jerald said and Kozette didn't dare to speak again. JS CORPORATIONS could easily crash her father's company if she dared to go against the heir and that wasn't something she wanted right now, not with this mess she was dealing with in her head.
She took her seat quietly and even shrugged off Marlo when he tried to talked with her.
Logan walked into the class with his bag on one shoulder and his eyes met with Hallie's who was sitted quietly in her seat. Her eyes were deep and had an hollow in them. She was the Hallie she used to be, guilt was eating her slowly and he smirked slightly, making a shiver rush down her spine.
Miss Jessica walked into the class, a pleasant smile, that was always fixed on her face. She seemed to he comfortable about everything that was going on in her life, especially the fact that she was next in line to Mr Howart and he was dead. Technically, she was become the next principal and that was also because she was close to Logan's uncle, who owned the school.
"I hope you guys are pleasant today?" She asked, dropping her books on the table.
"Pleasant?" Kozette raised her brows, "Our principal was involved in an accident and you call it pleasant?" She asked.
"It's a natural accident that happens every normal day, Kozette."
"It shouldn't be coming from you like that. You are our teacher." Hallie muttered and Jessica turned to look at her with a smirk on her face.
"Should this be coming from you?" She asked and Hallie's face went dark and down. Logan glanced at her, hitting his pen on his table so lightly.
"Hallie is right. Even if you can't hide that you are happy with his death, we are not!" Neal snapped.
"Well, what do you want me to do? Die in his place? Or....in Edna's place?" She barely held her chuckle.
"Don't talk about Edna like that." Jerald said calmly, his eyes bloodshot as he raised his head to look at Miss Jessica and she furrowed her brows.
"What are you doing in this class, Jerald?" She asked.
"I can stay wherever I like." Jerald smirked.
"No you can't. Change classes by tomorrow." She said authoritatively and Jerald sighed slowly, pursing his lips.
"Miss Jessica, you seem to forget your mother is working in my company." He said.
"And you seem to forget that your father works in mine." Logan added.
"What?" Jessica scoffed.
"I have your secrets in my palm, students."
"Not mine. I don't have any idea what you are talking about." Jerald shrugged.
"Keep the secret in your palms tightly, Miss Jessica. With my company and Hallie's and Jerald's, your family won't be able to get a job anywhere in the world. My uncle also don't have children and he's not planning to..." Logan smiled, "That means I'll take over this school as my possession. You'll be fired if you get on my bad side too early. Forget the fact that you are fvcking my uncle." He said and a gasp filled the whole class.
"What?" Jessica couldn't believe her ears. How did...how did Logan find out?
"Aah." Logan bit his lips, "I'm actually really bad at keeping secrets in my own palms." He smirked.
"This class is over." Miss Jessica managed to say, while gritting her teeth hardly. She picked her book and was about to leave the class when Logan kicked the door close.
"I refuse to go to university a dullard, Miss Jessica and you were not also paid just to abandon us in class." He looked at her and she scoffed lightly, fisting her hands angrily, "Teach." Logan stared deeply at her.
After two hours of an utterly disgraceful class for Miss Jessica, she finally was able to leave the class when Logan said he was tired.
"Bye, Miss Jessica." Jerald smirked, waving her and she hissed angrily before closing the door.
Logan's face immediately turned cold and he stood up, walking towards Hallie. When he got to her seat, he held her hand, dragging her up from the chair.
"We have to talk." He said.
"Where are you taking her to?" Gary stood up almost immediately, blocking him as he dragged Hallie.
"When we get married, would you also be protective?" Logan raised a brow and glared at him before walking out, Hallie with him.
"Okay, so...." Jerald stood up and shifted a table to the door post, sitting on it and blocking anyone from going out.
"What is wrong with you? Leave the way." Neal snapped.
"Exactly. This is the lunch period." Marlo said and Jerald nodded.
"I know, but we have a serious meeting." He glanced at Kozette and she almost shrivelled under his gaze. He chuckled lightly before folding his hands.
"So who cares to confess the secret?" He smirked, his eyes darkening as she suddenly became very serious, "Who killed Edna Young?"
**...**
"What is wrong with you?" Logan asked the moment they got to the rooftop.
"Huh?"
"You are scared, right?" He asked and she pursed her lips.
"No. I'm fine." She said, trying to walk away but he held her hand and dragged her back.
"We are on the rooftop, Hallie." He said coldly, walking closer to her. She stepped back, her legs moving towards the edge.
"I can kill you too if I want. And the world would just be as silent as it was when Edna died." He raised his brows, his smirk widening. Hallie's lips curled down and trembled as she looked back, she was nearing the edge, all that was left was just a high block that could only reach her waist. But she still moved backwards, she was scared, of the darkness in Logan's eyes.
"Tell me, Hallie," He muttered, taking the final step, Hallie's move will end the way and she'll be hooked, "Do you have double personality?" He placed his hands on the block beside her to keep her standing straight. The cold wind blew against her hair, making her shiver slightly. Her eyes pierced Logan's own and he could see the fear in them, the sadness, the darkness. Hallie had always been this way but she had masked it by being really mean. Edna had not masked hers, so she was easily manipulated. But Logan, he was also like Hallie, a person, who masked his feelings.
Cowardice? That was Hallie.
Strength? That was Logan.
"Tell me, hmmm. You act too weird, Hallie." He probed further and she turned, looking down as she stared at the ground. It was too far way, even higher than the length she had pushed Edna. She couldn't afford to die this way, not the same way she had killed Edna.
"Edna." She said.
"Edna lives in me."
