Chapter 14: Flaxxan invasion

"What the fuck is this mess?!" Cecil said in a shocked voice as he teleported next to Donald. His eyes scan the room as the bodies of the Guardians of the Globe lay there, dead.

"Sir. The Guardians were killed last night. Omni-Man is alive but in serious condition." Donal said as he pointed towards the dead bodies. Cecil shot him an unkind look.

"I can see, Donald. You four! Take Omni-Man to the advanced treatment facility!" Cecil shouted at the nurses, standing like dumbasses on the sidelines.

"How did something like this happen? The strongest team, with the strongest Hero almost killed?" Cecil asked Donald, hoping that they got some vital intel.

"Sir. The cameras and anything that could record evidence have been tinkered with. We could not get anything except glitched screens," Donald says as he looks down at his folder.

"Great. Keep this under wraps until we find out some other things. Now, I need to go talk to someone." Cecil says as he teleports away. Donald sighed as he looked at the blood-covered floor.

"Cleaners!"

[Meanwhile...]

"So... What did you want to talk about, exactly?" Jin asked with a raised eyebrow as he continued eating his food. Debby and Mark sat at the table, watching.

Cecil sighed as he looked at Jin. He had no choice but to come to him as The strongest team of heroes was out of commission. If anything Nolan can do is go by, his kid should not be that bad.

"I need you to take on missions no other hero can do," Cecil said as he watched Jin with narrowed eyes. He will have to think of other countermeasures if Jin disagrees.

"How much?" Jin asked as he took another bite of his burger. The table went quiet as Debby and Mark turned to look at Jin. They had a look of question.

"What? Do you expect me to go and start taking on missions that put my life at risk for free?" Jin asked with a confused face as he looked at his family. He still does not know why the heroes do this shit for free. The GDA realistically should be paying them.

They protect the country and the whole planet from aliens, monsters and more. The least they could do is give them a wage.

"One hundred thousand to 1 million Dollars, depending on how dangerous the mission is," Cecil said a number as he looked at Jin with intrigue. He never saw a hero do this in his entire life.

He liked it.

"Wow! That much money for a mission? Sign me up!" Mark felt like the food lost its taste as he stood up with a huge grin. Debby looked at him with disapproval. The disapproval stare felt fake.

"You got a deal. So, what's my first mission?" Jin asked as he wiped his hands on a paper towel. He stood up from his seat while his hero suit appeared on his body. Cecil stared with shock.

"You have space powers? God damn, kid. It seems like even Nolan is less impressive." Cecil said with a glint of light in his eyes. Jin pretended to smile at the compliment with a shy look.

"Oh, stop it. You make me blush. Now, what is the mission?" Jin asked as he turned serious. If he is tasked with a mission, he wonders if his system will hand him a mission.

"The first mission-" Cecil stops as he is called on his earpiece. He connects the call and frowns as he hears the words. Finishing the call, he looks at Jin.

"Looks like your first mission is fighting an alien invasion, kid. I want you to help Teen Team with the invasion." Cecil asked as he looked at Invincible. Invincible turns excited as he sees this.

[Quest: Destroy or push the Flaxan invasion back.]

- [Reward: Skills can now evolve once max level.]

"Gotta go!" Jin smirked as he started floating. He can't afford to waste time here. Jin flew out of his house and above the clouds so he wouldn't destroy anything.

Boom!

Activating his speed, Jin flew faster than lightning towards the city. Jin's speed caused the clouds to disperse. If he flew close to the ground, everything would break from the pressure.

In a second, Jin appeared above the city, just in time to see the Teen Team fighting the group. JIn le tou sa sigh as he flew towards the tanks coming out of the orange portal.

Boom!

The tanks are destroyed, along with the pilots exploding into a shower of blood and guts. A massive shockwave is created from the explosion. The Flaxxans turn around in shock as they look at Jin.

"Yo! You guys need some help?" Jin asked while standing on top of a burning tank. His cape fluttered from the air. Teen Team lets out a sigh of relief as they see him.

"Dude! Where were you? We tried to contact you, but your device was not picking up!" Rex shot as he threw a charged rock at a Flaxxan, causing him to explode in pieces.

"Oh, uh, sorry. I was eating some food." Jin scratched his head in embarrassment as he looked away. He was not doing anything. He just forgot his advice.

"Oh, great!" Rex shouted as he barely dodged a laser from the Flaxxan's gun. Jin scratched his head before noticing the soldiers taking aim at him.

"I don't think so!" Jin vanished in a burst of speed, the guns hitting nothing but the tank. Appearing behind Flaxxans, Jin punched the air.

Boom!

A beam of shockwave travelled into the portal, dragging tens of Flaxxans, their bodies torn apart. Jin was not finished. He vanished again, his body so fast that no one could capture him.

Boom!

"What is happening?" Dupli-Kate asked in confusion as she only saw a purple beam flying in a circle around the city block. The Flaxxans did not even know they were dead before their bodies burst into pieces.

Robot. The mechanical figure stood still and examined the bracelet in a wooden hand. Rudy felt the length wave it released and started to reverse engineer the bracelet.

"I worked out how to defeat them," Robot said while releasing a sound wave. The bracelet on the remaining Flaxxans was destroyed, and the Flaxxans stared in panic as their skins started wrinkling at a visible speed.

Jin watched as the Flaxxans entered the portal, and he debated about going in with them. But he was not an omni-man who could destroy the surface of their planet just by flying at full speed.

Who knows what technology they would have if they could open a portal to a different dimension. Jin was not willing to take such a massive risk.

Jin flew towards the running Flaxxans. As Jin continued flying, the air was supercharged, turning the Flaxxans into pieces from the pressure and impact.
