Chapter 17: Power up

"Shit!" Jin watched slowly as the condensed flames rushed at him, trying to tear through his body. Molten took action and pushed Jin out of the way, taking the attack on his body.

[Ding!]

[Shadow Soldier: Molten died.]

[Cooldown for respawn: 10 minutes.]

Boom!

Jin did not have time to worry about that as the flames hit the ground. Thousands of miles of Lava and Earth turned into ashes as they evaporated. A hole similar to an abyss appeared as Jin was thrown away.

Boom!

Jin continued flying like a ragdoll. Boulders and mountains were smashed through. His body flew for miles. Finally coming to a stop, Jin let out a cough as blood splattered on the floor.

"Ugh!... The hit was not direct and took a chunk of my HP. I need to use my stat points." Jin was not in the mood to overcome the Nightmare Centipede with struggle.

"Stats!"

Jin grinned as he felt his strength increase by a massive margin. His stats increase his power, not by a bit. The higher his stats are, the more power a single stat point gives him.

Activating his skills. Jin flew at a speed of 300% towards the Nightmare Centipede. His body vanished from the place as he flew at a speed of 90 times lightning!

Jin clenched his fist as he activated Mana Enhancement. His body broke through the air, leaving destruction in his wake. The Nightmare Centipede released a sound similar to a screech as he watched.

Boom!

Jin's fist collided with the forehead of the Nightmare. The air twisted and condensed as a vibration and a shockwave rushed out from the impact. The entire world seemed to shake at the new strength.

Lava erupted from the ground as a massive shockwave rushed past, breaking and causing the entire ground to break apart like sand for thousands of kilometres.

Rumble*

The heavens seemed to cry as the clouds in the sky turned even darker than their acidic state. Lightning shot down from the ground, striking everything but the two beings.

Boom!

Jin kneed the face of the creature with all his power, throwing it back. Nightmare hurled back with a hiss of anger. On his face was a crack so small that human 3yes would never be able to capture it.

[Ding!]

[Smart Atoms are improving stats!]

[All stats increased by 1!]

Jin felt his power increase under the stress. The air distorted as a beam erupted from the Nightmare, striking Jin in the chest. His body smashed into the Lava, not hurt by it anymore.

It felt like lukewarm water sliding on his skin. Jin erupted with a battle cry, smashing his double fists under the chin, and Nightmare was sent flying into the sky from the blow.

His massive body caused the entire land to shake as the rest of his buried body erupted from the ground.

Jin followed up with a punch in the air. With a loud crack, as if the glass broke. The air shattered, and a shockwave rushed to Nightmare. Striking him and causing his massive HP pool to lower.

Jin did not let up on his assault. He flew around the body of Nightmare while raining blow after blow with the force of a nuclear bomb. Nightmare released screech after screech as he could not catch Jin.

Nightmare looked around as he was getting assaulted. His insect eyes had given him a 360 view, but it only made him see better while he was beaten. 

Having enough, Nightmare released a roar that shocked the surroundings. Jin stopped as he fell out of the air with blood leaking from his ears and nose. His eyes rolled back due to the sound. 

Nightmare released a cackle full of malice as he watched the tiny bug fall from the air. 

With the sound of a nuclear exploding, a massive flame aura exploded around Nightmare, shooting into the sky as a beam of light.

Jin suddenly heard a familiar sound. Opening his eyes, he saw Nightmare's body glowing as a sound similar to Godzilla charging his atomic breath was heard.

[Nightmare MP: 0/10,000]

Jin felt his heartthrob in shock as he watched Nightmare pump all his Mana into his body. The ground and everything around stopped shaking. Instead, the ground just evaporated around Nightmare.

"No! You won't-" Jin did not finish his words as Nightmare looked down at him from the sky. Jin opened his eyes wide as a scream left his mouth.

The energy exploded from Nightmare's body, evaporating the ground and everything in an 800-mile radius. Jin felt his body burn and get thrown back from the explosion, and his pupils turned white.

-12,300 HP!

Boom!

Jin broke the sound barrier as his body was thrown into the air. He broke through the layers and reached space. The quiet of the abyss surrounded Jin, his blood freezing in space.

[Smart Atoms in overdrive!]

[Stats increased by 2!]

[Stats now.]

[Strength: 200]

[Agility: 200]

[Vitality: 200]

[Intelligence: 200]

[Sense: 200]

The planet under Jin let out a rumble as the explosion was visible in space. A hole the size of Texas was left where Nightmare was lying. His body was burnt black, and he was unconscious.

Time passed while the two were in sleep. Jin's whole body was burnt to a crisp while his skin was melted onto his muscles. Jin's bones were visible. His hair was long gone from his head.

[10 minutes later...]

Jin's body adapted to the injury and became even more durable. His skin HP returned to 20,000 and was also stronger.

"Ugh... My head is killing me." Jin twitched as he opened his eyes. Jin's body regenerated from the injury he sustained due to the system's way of renewing his HP.

Looking down at the ground with concentration. Jin could see the massive abys in the land, even from space. Letting out a sigh, Jin flew down at full speed.

Boom!

The atmosphere ignited and exploded the moment he entered the stratosphere. Jin stopped with shock as he looked around. His base speed was at least 150 times lightning.

"My stats... They grew after I was knocked out." Jin said as he called up his stats. He clenched his fist as he felt an energy that could destroy the world in his hand. 

Activating Quicksilver and Superman with Mana Enhancement on top. Jin looked down at the abyss, where Nightmare was starting to wake up from his slumber.

"Time to end this," Jin muttered with narrowed eyes.
