CHAPTER 28:Meeting Konahamaru

Naruto continued humming along the road, lost in thought about Ino and Sakura's sudden interruption:

Suddenly, an ANBU agent appeared beside him:

"Naruto Uzumaki, Third Hokage requests your presence immediately – follow me."

Naruto's curiosity piqued, he trailed the ANBU agent to the Hokage headquarters –

Upon entering, he witnessed an intense argument between Third Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi and a familiar yet arrogant face:

Konahamaru Sarutobi – Third Hokage's grandson, Naruto recalled from his future memories as his junior friend.

In this timeline, Konahamaru seemed different – pompous and self-entitled:

Konahamaru stood tall, eyes sneering at his grandfather before noticing Naruto –

He strode confidently towards Naruto, voice dripping with arrogance:

"Uzumaki Naruto – a mere genin daring to enter Hokage presence. State your business... or leave."

Naruto's eyes narrowed slightly – he recalled Konahamaru as a respectful junior friend –

Not this haughty version. Without hesitation, Naruto swiftly kicked Konahamaru's chest – sending him stumbling back:

"So what if you're the Hokage's grandson?" Naruto said calmly, eyes locked on Konahamaru.

"Hierarchy doesn't make you better than others – respect earns respect."

Konahamaru's face turned red with shock and anger – stunned by Naruto's bold move

Third Hokage Hiruzen observed this exchange with interest, a hint of surprise and pride in his eyes:

"Konahamaru, it seems Naruto Uzumaki just taught you a valuable lesson..."

Third Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi waved his hand dismissively at Konahamaru's still-fuming expression:

"Not now, Konahamaru – Naruto Uzumaki and I need to talk. Leave us."

Konahamaru stormed out, slamming the door behind him

Third Hokage turned to Naruto with a warm smile:

"Naruto Uzumaki, tell me – how's life with another member in your house and talks about his alongside friends like and Sasuke?"

Naruto shared stories about his adventures, daily life, and friendships

Third Hokage listened intently, nodding and asking thoughtful questions about Izumi (Naruto didn't correct him, assuming he meant Iruka) sensei's influence on him.

After a pleasant conversation, Naruto bowed respectfully:

"Thank you for chatting with me, Third Hokage – I should head back now."

Third Hokage smiled and nodded – Naruto exited the headquarters

Only to be followed by Konahamaru, who trailed him into a quiet alleyway:

Naruto sensed his presence, spinning around – irritated by the pursuit

He swiftly grabbed Konahamaru's collar, lifting him slightly off the ground:

"What now – still angry about being kicked or something else entirely?"

Konahamaru's expression changed from anger to surprise and then unexpectedly:

"No... Naruto Uzumaki – from today on, I acknowledge you as my... Ani (Big Brother). Your strength and words earlier... impressed me."

Naruto raised an eyebrow, releasing Konahamaru's collar – intrigued by this sudden shift

Naruto walked alongside Konahamaru, still amused by his sudden acknowledgement as "Big Brother":

Konahamaru chattered excitedly about wanting to train together and learn from Naruto

Their stroll led them to a familiar path and Sakura was walking towards them, looking lovely in her casual attire

Konahamaru's eyes widened as he took in Sakura's appearance, then turned to Naruto with a huge grin:

"Wow, Big Brother – she must be your girlfriend! She's really pretty!"

Before Sakura could even open her mouth to respond

Naruto swiftly slammed his hand down on Konahamaru's head, laughing nervously:

"Not even close, Konahamaru just a teammate and friend, got it?!"

Konahamaru rubbed his head, still grinning mischievously

Sakura looked at Naruto, her expression neutral, but inside she felt a subtle pang of disappointment:

Kokoro's voice whispered in her mind:

"Now do you feel his denial feel slightly... relieving yet disappointing at the same time?"
