CHAPTER 42:SHISUI PLANS

The gentle rustle of wind swept through the forest clearing near the edge of the Uchiha compound.

Twilight had settled over Konoha, casting long shadows beneath the trees.

Itachi Uchiha, quiet and contemplative, stood near the riverbank, eyes fixed on the flowing water.

He sensed it before he heard it—the familiar chakra signature. He turned.

Shisui Uchiha stepped out from the trees, his expression serious yet calm.

"You're early," Itachi said softly.

"I needed to speak with you," Shisui replied, his voice steady.

Without another word, Shisui walked closer, standing just a few feet from Itachi. He closed his eyes for a moment… and then opened them again.

A ripple of energy pulsed through the air.

His Mangekyō Sharingan bloomed to life—a mesmerizing pattern swirling within his eyes.

Itachi's breath hitched. "So… you awakened it."

Shisui nodded. "Yes. And with it, a power I've never imagined possible."

He took a step forward. "This eye holds a genjutsu—one that can change a person's thoughts, their very will, without them even realizing it."

Itachi's eyes widened. "That's…"

"Kotoamatsukami." Shisui's voice was quiet, but resolute. "I can enter someone's mind… and subtly alter their beliefs. Their decisions. Without force. Without violence."

He paused, looking Itachi dead in the eye.

"I plan to use it on your father—Fugaku-sama."

Itachi's expression faltered. "You would… use it on the clan head?"

"I must," Shisui said firmly. "The Uchiha are on the brink of rebellion. A coup will destroy everything—our clan, the village, the balance. But if I can make Fugaku step down from his plan, if I can gently change his course without bloodshed..."

He clenched his fists.

"This is the only way to save both sides."

Itachi stared at him, torn between duty and emotion. "Are you sure it'll work?"

Shisui nodded. "If I time it right, yes. I won't control him—I'll simply plant the thought of peace… of choosing unity over war."

Then he added, "And I'm going to the Third Hokage after this. I'll tell him everything. He needs to be on board to support this plan from within the village."

Itachi's breath was shaky, but his eyes were filled with something he rarely showed—hope.

Shisui placed a hand on his shoulder. "This is our chance, Itachi. To save the clan… to save you from being forced to make the worst choice."

The river flowed on behind them, quiet and eternal.

For a moment, the future seemed like it could change.

Absolutely—here's the next part, where Shisui visits the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, to present his plan to use Kotoamatsukami on Fugaku Uchiha in a desperate bid to prevent war between the Uchiha and the village.

The Hokage Tower stood tall under the cover of night, its lanterns casting a golden glow over the polished floors and worn stone.

The village below was quiet, but tension simmered beneath its surface—tension that only a few truly understood.

Shisui Uchiha stood before the door to the Hokage's private office, his heart calm but heavy.

He knocked once.

"Enter," came the old but commanding voice from within.

Shisui stepped inside.

Hiruzen Sarutobi, the Third Hokage, sat behind his desk, the weight of the village on his shoulders as always. He looked up, eyes narrowing slightly in thought as he recognized the Uchiha prodigy.

"Shisui," he said, setting down his pipe. "To what do I owe this late visit?"

Shisui bowed respectfully. "Hokage-sama. I've come with a plan to stop the brewing rebellion within my clan."

Sarutobi leaned forward, eyes sharp. "Go on."

Without hesitation, Shisui activated his Mangekyō Sharingan, the tomoe shifting into the intricate design of his unique eye.

"This is no ordinary dojutsu," he said. "This is the power of Kotoamatsukami—a genjutsu that allows me to alter someone's will without them even realizing it."

Hiruzen's brows furrowed. "Altering one's will…?"

"I intend to use it on Fugaku Uchiha, clan head and the leader behind the rebellion. I can plant a command in his mind—subtle and gentle—that will lead him to abandon the coup and seek reconciliation with the village."

The Hokage was silent for a moment, the full weight of Shisui's words settling into the room.

"This is a dangerous power, Shisui," he said at last. "But it could also be a miracle."

Shisui nodded. "I don't want to fight my clan. I don't want Itachi to be forced into an impossible decision. If we do nothing, war is inevitable."

Sarutobi sighed, running a hand down his beard. "And you believe you can do this without alerting the others?"

"Yes. The jutsu is undetectable. Fugaku will believe the idea was his all along."

The old Hokage stood, walking slowly toward the window. He looked out at the moonlit village, hands behind his back.

"I've always believed in peaceful solutions, Shisui. If your power can truly save both the Uchiha and the village…" He paused, then turned. "Then I will support your plan."

Shisui bowed again. "Thank you, Hokage-sama. I'll act tomorrow."

But just outside the Hokage Tower, in the shadows of a nearby rooftop, a pair of red eyes glowed silently.

Someone had been watching.
