The Prisoner Who Never Escaped

Alright, time to mess with Year Three!

---

Year Three at Hogwarts was supposed to be exciting.

A notorious prisoner, Sirius Black, had supposedly escaped from Azkaban.

Everyone was on edge. The Ministry sent Dementors to patrol the school. Professors were extra cautious.

But there was just one problem.

Sirius Black never escaped.

Because over the summer…

I stole him.

How to Steal a Prisoner

To be fair, I didn't originally plan to mess with the plot this much.

I was just curious.

Azkaban was supposed to be the most secure prison in the wizarding world.

Naturally, I wanted to see if I could break in.

Turns out? It was ridiculously easy.

With my ability, I could walk right past the Dementors, stroll through the cells, and take anything I wanted—including prisoners.

So, on a whim, I yoinked Sirius Black.

One moment, he was rotting in a cell. The next, he was in a cozy little cottage in the middle of nowhere.

He had no idea what had happened.

No one noticed he was gone.

And now, Hogwarts was panicking over an escaped convict that… wasn't actually missing.

Hogwarts Freaks Out

The school year started with an absolute meltdown.

"Be on high alert!" McGonagall warned. "Sirius Black is extremely dangerous!"

Meanwhile, I was just sipping my tea.

Because from my perspective?

There was no Sirius Black wandering around.

Harry was completely safe.

The Dementors were pointless.

And yet, everyone was losing their minds.

Harry kept looking over his shoulder.

Ron was paranoid.

Hermione was furiously researching defense spells.

Meanwhile, Sirius was chilling in a house somewhere, eating toast.

Dumbledore: Processing…

By mid-October, I started noticing it again.

Dumbledore was watching me.

Not suspiciously.

Not accusingly.

Just… curiously.

Like he was trying to solve the world's greatest mystery.

Because from his point of view:

The Chamber of Secrets disaster never happened.

Lockhart mysteriously lost his credibility overnight.

The Heir of Ravenclaw rumors were still going strong.

And now, an Azkaban prisoner had somehow disappeared from prison without actually escaping.

Something told me that Dumbledore was starting to suspect that reality itself was messing with him.

I smiled at him politely and kept eating my dinner.

Harry's Non-Existent Family Drama

This was the funniest part.

Because Sirius never actually "escaped," Harry never learned he had a godfather.

So all the emotional moments? The big reveals? The dramatic confrontations?

They never happened.

Harry just went through Year Three like normal, completely unaware of the family drama that should've unfolded.

I had single-handedly erased an entire plotline.

And nobody knew why.

It was beautiful.

The Year Ends With… Absolutely Nothing

By the time exams rolled around, I realized something amazing.

Nothing major had happened all year.

No werewolf attacks.

No life-changing secrets.

No near-death experiences.

It was the calmest Hogwarts year ever.

And I loved it.

As I boarded the Hogwarts Express home, I leaned back in my seat, feeling completely satisfied.

I had stolen:

A priceless magical stone.

An entire person.

And an entire school year's worth of drama.

And no one suspected a thing.

I couldn't wait for Year Four.

End of Year Three.
