In the blink of an eye, two years had passed. Message received: "Happy New Year!" A smile crossed Aurora's face as she read the message from her "mad trio" group. She then wished her parents and sister, who was in the hostel, a happy New Year. Just when she thought the day had come to an end, she received a call from Ivy Goldenshield.
"Hey, where are you? I've been trying to reach you for ages! Why didn't you check your phone?!" Ivy's voice was laced with irritation.
Aurora, caught off guard, responded with a tone of concern, "What's wrong? Why did you call?"
The two hardly ever called each other.
"I'm waiting at your gate. Come down. We're going to Giselle's," Ivy said, shivering as she adjusted her warm sweater to shield herself from the cold.
"Hmm... What are you girls up to now?" Aurora quickly made her way to the gate, waving goodbye to her mother.
"Why are we going to Giselle's? What kind of trouble has she gotten herself into this time?" Aurora asked, casting a glance at Ivy, eager for an explanation. However, Ivy just dragged her toward Giselle's house, offering no answers to Aurora's curious questions.
When they arrived, Aurora noticed something strange. "Why is no one home?" she asked.
"They're out of town for the day. They'll be back tomorrow at 4 a.m. Until then, I'm going to enjoy my freedom. So let's get drunk until we lose our senses!" Giselle replied with a grin.
