Giselle and her team had been eagerly awaiting this day, the end of the working week. Today was the day the results would be announced. The whole team sat, eyes glued to their computers, as if the intensity of their stares would speed up the arrival of the email.

"Beep." A new mail popped up, with the subject line: "Result of the Auction, Sender: Caldwell Innovations." Everyone held their breath, fingers crossed, while one of the team members opened the email.

"Hi team, we are glad to announce that your proposal has been accepted, and we look forward to working with Nimbs Technology. We would like to hold a meeting on next friday to discuss more on the project."

The room erupted in cheers and screams of excitement.

Dominic Carrington had returned, and Ivy found herself reluctantly attending his session. She did everything she could to avoid making eye contact, trying to stop herself from falling any deeper. As night fell, the steady hum of duty calls began to slow. Knowing Ivy was on the night shift, Dominic made his way to her usual quiet spot.

"Seems like someone's been avoiding me," he said, his tall figure emerging from behind a tree, wearing his white coat. The moonlight highlighted his sharp features as he walked toward her and sat down next to her, his presence impossible to ignore.

Ivy, caught off guard, couldn't avoid him any longer. She hadn't apologized for New Year's Eve, and now was the moment. With the moonlight softly illuminating the space around them, she took a deep breath and began.

"I'm sorry," she said, her voice sincere. "Last time, when you said I took advantage of you... I thought you were lying. But now, I realize the truth. I was completely drunk that night, and I... I'm sorry for everything. I won't bother you again."

She stood to leave, hoping to escape the awkwardness, but Dominic, reluctant to let her go, gently grabbed her hand. "Sit," he said softly, guiding her back down next to him.
