Why would I say no?

After all the kisses, Giselle went back to her bed, feeling shy, while Victor still wanted more of her. It felt like she had acted on impulse, in the heat of the moment. The air between them was awkward, and they parted the next morning without a word, leaving Victor confused. Was she really sober?

The Global Tech Connect event had wrapped up, and they had been well-praised for their presentation. Everyone was eager to understand how their product could add to the economy of their company. It had been a successful event. They were heading back on the same day they had landed in Town C for the event.

It was already evening, and the sun was setting, painting the sky in shades of pink, orange, and yellow, making everything even more beautiful.

"It's beautiful," said Giselle, who was sitting by the window.

"Yes, it really is," Victor replied, his gaze not just on the sunset but on how perfectly Giselle seemed to blend with nature's beauty.

"I love you," Giselle said, looking into his eyes.

"Will you be my boyfriend, please?" she asked, her voice soft but filled with sincerity.

Victor was in shock, staring at her in silence as if thinking, Did I just hallucinate?

"Are you not willing to?" Giselle asked, her voice tinged with confusion and sadness, her eyes searching his face, eagerly waiting for his reply.

"Why would I say no?" Victor replied, his voice still filled with surprise. "But... did you really just say that?"

"Yes," Giselle chuckled, a light smile tugging at her lips.

Victor's gaze softened, his heart swelling with affection. "I love you too." With that, he closed the distance between them, kissing her in mid-air, sealing their feelings for each other.
