New Martial Soul

The next morning it was a refreshing morning, or more like you can say, I am feeling too much optimistic with what all I have gone through. But, today, I decided to run out from Nuoding city, as I got much better result than what I expected, there's nothing more important left for me to do here.

Without any further thought I packed my things and even prepared some meals for my journey. The morning air was cool against my skin as I stepped outside the inn, the cobblestone streets still glistening with morning dew. The city was already bustling with early merchants setting up their stalls, the smell of fresh bread wafting through the air from nearby bakeries. I took one last look at the city walls, committing the view to memory before turning away.

And I set out of Nuoding city, my next stop will be Balak Kingdom or more specifically, Suotuo city. Only reason going there is to take part in Great Spirit Arena, and also for access to higher rank Soul beast in Star Dou forest. The Great Spirit Arena had been on my mind for months now—a place where soul masters from across the continent gathered to test their strength and gain recognition. More importantly, the prize money would fund my future needs.

I haven't actually thought about my second soul ring, as I can hunt lower level soul beast but due to my previous reward I got to test something out. And more than that, I think I should get used to massive energy then only hunt for second soul ring. The road stretched before me, winding through rolling hills and vast plains. I paused at a crossroads, consulting the crude map I'd purchased from a traveling merchant. According to the weathered parchment, the nearest town was about half a day's journey by foot.

After reaching the next town, I talked with some merchant going to Suotuo city with the trade route. And after paying little too much I was allowed to travel with them. The merchant's name was Old Wei, a stocky man with a weather-beaten face and calloused hands that spoke of decades hauling goods across the continent. His caravan consisted of three covered wagons pulled by sturdy mountain oxen, carrying everything from spices to textiles.

"You're a soul master, aren't you?" Old Wei had asked, eyeing me with a mixture of curiosity and caution. "Don't cause any trouble with my caravan, and we'll get along just fine."

I had nodded silently, seeing no reason to elaborate on my abilities. The less people knew about my true strength, the better. The journey would take approximately ten days, Old Wei had informed me, assuming no bandit attacks or adverse weather conditions. Ten days of relative safety was worth the exorbitant fee he'd charged.

And on the road because of Xioa Wu's persistent request, I have to waste my gold coins to get better clothes, and its little too much baggy as I required to hide my weapon. And also elegant with flowery design. Well, I didn't care that much about clothes. But still its feel good wearing something fresh and new. The merchant's wife had been thrilled to help, pulling out bolt after bolt of fabric from their inventory, insisting that a young lady like me should dress appropriately.

"This blue silk would complement your complexion perfectly," she had gushed, holding the material against my face while I tried not to grimace. In the end, I selected the most practical option that would still satisfy Xiao Wu—a deep indigo outfit with subtle floral embroidery along the hems, loose enough to allow freedom of movement during combat but not so loose that it would hinder me.

Well, Xioa Wu sometimes pop out without any warning, but good thing is that till I don't allow her, no one other can see her spiritual body till someone of contra or title douluo level comes forward. It was a blessing, really. The last thing I needed was for others to discover that my first soul ring contained the spirit of a soul beast who could manifest and communicate with me. Such a revelation would draw unwanted attention from powerful entities across the continent.

Most irritating thing was when I was going to eat Braised rabbit. Xiao Wu suddenly pop out. Her translucent form materialized across from me as I sat by the campfire on the third night of our journey. The caravan had stopped in a small clearing beside a babbling brook, the merchants busy securing their goods and preparing their evening meals.

"Hey, don't eat rabbit. Rabbit are cute creature." Her eyes were wide with horror as she stared at the skewered meat in my hands, the juices dripping into the crackling flames below.

And without any hesitation I bite down whole rabbit meat. I could compromise in other thing but not the food. The savory flavor exploded across my tongue, enhanced by the herbs and spices the caravan's cook had rubbed into the meat before roasting it over the open flame. I closed my eyes in appreciation, deliberately ignoring Xiao Wu's look of betrayal.

"You, you, how can you eat cute creature like rabbit." Her incorporeal form trembled with indignation, hands clenched into tight fists at her sides. If she had been solid, I suspected she might have tried to knock the meal from my grasp.

"Even if I stop eating, you can't stop everyone eating the rabbit. And how can you stop me from eating only delicious food??" I took another defiant bite, tearing through the tender meat with evident satisfaction. The merchants around the campfire paid me no mind, unaware of the spiritual entity having a moral crisis right before their eyes.

"Can't you go eat carrot or blue-silver grass, those both are even more tastier??" She floated closer, her face contorted in a mixture of disgust and pleading. The moonlight seemed to pass through her translucent form, giving her an ethereal glow against the backdrop of the dark forest beyond our camp.

"Hey idiot, your taste doesn't mean it will suit me. And do you know about food chain." I waved the half-eaten rabbit leg in her direction, watching as she recoiled from the gesture. Her reaction was amusing, considering she couldn't actually be splattered with grease or juices in her current state.

"Now, How are you gonna fool me??" Her eyes narrowed suspiciously, arms crossing over her chest in defiance. The flames of the campfire flickered between us, casting dancing shadows across the clearing.

"Fooling you, I don't have that much time to spent on you. I am just teaching an illiterate about common things." I wiped my mouth with the back of my hand, enjoying the way her spectral form seemed to pulse with annoyance at my cavalier attitude. The night was growing colder, and I pulled my new cloak tighter around my shoulders, the warmth of the fire only reaching so far.

"So, what is food chain?" She tilted her head, curiosity momentarily overriding her indignation. A gentle breeze rustled through the trees surrounding our campsite, carrying with it the scent of pine and distant rain.

"Well, you can just say a cycle of nature. Plants absorbs sunlight energy to create nutritional energy, primary consumer like rabbit, and other herbivores feed on plants, then secondary consumer feed on the primary consumer for energy and finally tertiary animal feed over every weak animal and they are top of the food chain. And when a tertiary animal dies, a decomposer like fungi and other comes and decompose the animal which are absorbed by ground and finally plant absorbed nutrition through it. So, what do you understoood?" I finished my impromptu lecture, picking at the remaining meat clinging to the bone. One of the merchants glanced in my direction, probably wondering why I appeared to be talking to myself. I lowered my voice accordingly.

"Plants are the top of the food chain, isn't it?" Xiao Wu's face was a picture of innocent confusion, her translucent brows furrowed in concentration as she attempted to process what I'd explained. The stars twinkled overhead, countless pinpricks of light in the vast expanse of the night sky.

"YOU IDIOT, huh, whatever you understood. And then imagine, if suddenly number of rabbits increase so much what will happen, every plants will be eaten by them this will make food chain break and then every rabbit might not get enough food and die, similarly bigger animal will also become shortage in food and will die which will lead to total destruction to every living beings." I resisted the urge to throw the bone at her, knowing it would simply pass through her incorporeal form. Instead, I tossed it into the fire, watching as the flames licked at the remains.

"That's too much to take in." She floated backward slightly, her form wavering like a reflection on disturbed water. The night creatures had begun their symphony around us—crickets chirping, owls hooting, and the occasional rustling in the underbrush that could be anything from a harmless rodent to a lurking predator.

"And that is why you should go with natural cycle and don't interfere it." I reached for my water skin, taking a long drink to wash down the meal. The water was cool and refreshing, collected from a mountain spring we'd passed earlier in the day.

"You still can't fool me." Her voice took on a stubborn edge, shoulders squaring as though preparing for further debate. The moon had risen higher now, casting long shadows across our campsite and illuminating the dew-dampened grass surrounding us.

"Tsk" I clicked my tongue in annoyance, reaching for another piece of meat from the communal cooking pot. The savory aroma wafted upward, making my stomach growl in anticipation despite having already eaten my fill.

"See, I knew it." A triumphant smile spread across her translucent features, as though she'd won some great victory in our verbal sparring. A log in the fire collapsed with a shower of sparks, briefly illuminating the faces of the merchants who were settling in for the night, unrolling their bedding and securing their belongings.

"Whatever, I like eating rabbits. And you can't stop me." I deliberately took an exaggerated bite, making sure she could see how much I was enjoying the meal. The juices ran down my chin, and I wiped them away with the sleeve of my new garment, earning a disapproving look from the merchant's wife across the fire.

"You, you, Hmmph. I will stop practicing the cultivation technique." Her form began to fade slightly, a clear indication of her mounting frustration. The threat was hollow, and we both knew it—she was as invested in our shared growth as I was, perhaps even more so.

"Whatever, don't forget we both are in same boat. Well you know I can even share sense with you, see how the rabbit taste." I concentrated briefly, focusing on the connection between us and pushing the sensation of taste across the bond. It was a relatively new ability I'd discovered—the capacity to share sensory experiences with the spirit bound to my soul ring.

"QINGXUEEEEEEEE" Her shriek echoed in my mind rather than in the physical world, her form flickering violently before dissipating entirely. The sudden silence in my head was almost as jarring as her outburst had been.

And finally she went back inside my body, and is not responding. I didn't get to ask how it tasted. I went back to the inn and sat on the bed. The rustic inn of this small wayside village was a far cry from the accommodations in Nuoding city, but it served its purpose. The straw mattress crackled beneath me as I settled onto the edge of the bed, the wooden frame creaking ominously. A single oil lamp cast long shadows across the modest room, the flame dancing with each draft that slipped through the poorly sealed window.

Anyway, now I can think about what martial soul to choose. I can choose GDK or SDK, but this will caught the eye of god realm. And forget about Dragon God, they will sure kill on sight. The gravity of the decision weighed heavily upon me. Martial souls were the foundation of a soul master's power—the very essence of their strength and potential. Most were born with theirs, a reflection of their innate nature and destiny. But here I was, with the unprecedented opportunity to select a God-level martial soul of my choosing.

[Custom God Level Martial Soul Select Option:

1. Replace existing Martial Soul

2. Upgrade existing Martial Soul

3. Add second Martial Soul]

After seeing these option I understood, most suitable option right now is option two, upgrade existing martial soul. Because, after I have got 1 spirit ring with good attribute combination, I don't wanna lose it. and why not add second martial soul. Because it will become more as a burden than a support, if I have twin martial soul, I have to focus on both of martial soul, and even with that my first Martial Soul will be left behind. The oil lamp sputtered briefly, as though emphasizing the gravity of my choice. Outside, I could hear the faint sounds of the village settling in for the night—doors being barred, livestock being secured, parents calling their children in from the streets.

And now how to upgrade existing martial soul, my 'Mystic Eye' have power of analyzing and perceiving anything, I just need to add some thing that can result from all the input taken by my eyes. Then, I remember I have many weapon blueprint in my mind. The fragments of knowledge from my previous life flitted through my consciousness like autumn leaves caught in a breeze—incomplete yet tantalizing with possibility. Among these fragments were blueprints, designs, and concepts far beyond the technological understanding of this world.

Then only I thought, "Claim Upgrading existing Martial Soul with properties of Herrscher core of Truth"

The words seemed to hang in the air before me, resonating with a power that transcended the physical realm. For a moment, the flame of the oil lamp froze in place, time itself seeming to hold its breath in anticipation.
