Chapter 93: A Shocked Venti

Venti stared at Qiu Bai in fear, afraid that he'd really be dragged out of the tavern and carried all the way to Wolvendom.

"But they haven't arrived yet, have they?"

"So let's just drink for now. We'll deal with it when the time comes."

Venti grinned sheepishly, chugging down a few more gulps of wine before looking at Qiu Bai.

"Mm, by the time we finish drinking..."

"They'll probably be here."

Qiu Bai chuckled at Venti uneasy expression and nodded.

As time passed, the two continued chatting and reminiscing, sharing all that had happened over the years.

Suddenly, Qiu Bai smirked slightly and put down his empty glass.

"Looks like they've arrived."

Venti let out a small sigh, finishing his drink as well.

"Yeah, seems like it's time to go."

"But are we just going to run all the way there?"

Venti looked at Qiu Bai, a bit confused.

"What else? If we don't run, how else would we get there?"

Qiu Bai smirked at him.

"Flying is faster, isn't it?"

Venti raised an eyebrow before suddenly remembering something.

"Wait, don't you have that teleportation ability?"

His curious gaze landed on Qiu Bai.

"The one you used a thousand years ago..."

"You can instantly move great distances."

He took another sip of wine while eyeing Qiu Bai expectantly.

Qiu Bai chuckled.

"Didn't think you'd still remember."

He then glanced around the tavern before responding.

"But we can't use it here, too many people."

"We should leave Mondstadt first."

Qiu Bai turned to Venti and smiled.

Venti instantly nodded eagerly.

"Sounds good, sounds good! Flying is tiring anyway."

"With you around, everything is so much easier!"

"Then let's go."

Qiu Bai grinned, and the two of them left Angel Share, making their way out of Mondstadt.

Once they reached a secluded area, Qiu Bai figure suddenly shimmered and shifted transforming into Qiu Xue.

Venti stood there, completely stunned, staring blankly at the breathtakingly beautiful woman before him.

Qiu Xue delicate features turned toward Venti, her radiant gaze meeting his.

"Oh... my Archons..."

"You actually transformed completely into a woman..."

Venti stared at Qiu Xue in disbelief, circling around her in astonishment.

"As the God of Balance..."

"The balance between men and women in Teyvat is also a form of equilibrium, isn't it?"

Qiu Xue chuckled, covering her mouth as she watched Venti scrutinizing her.

"Hold onto me, Venti."

"Let's go take a look."

She smiled as she spoke, noticing Venti still staring at her in a daze.

"(⊙o⊙)..."

Venti was still struggling to process it—Qiu Bai had truly turned into a woman.

"Ah, come on, let's go!"

Before Venti could react, Qiu Xue grabbed him by the scruff of his neck.

"Ahh, hey, gently—"

Before he could finish, Qiu Xue activated her power, and the two of them vanished from sight.

In an instant, the scene shifted, and they reappeared atop a cliff overlooking Wolvendom domain.

"Looks like they've arrived."

Qiu Xue furrowed her delicate brows, gazing down at the massive shadow of a wolf below. Its tail shimmered with blue light, flickering like floating will-o'-the-wisps.

The colossal wolf eyes glowed ominously, its body bound by heavy chains, held in place by a sinister, violet Abyssal formation.

The energy emanating from the formation slowly eroded Boreas mind, corrupting him with the Abyss power.

Below, Lumine and Razor stood ready, their gazes fixed on the Abyss Herald ahead.

"Hmm, seems like we arrived just in time."

Venti murmured as he stared at the giant wolf below.

"Boreas..."

He muttered the name softly.

"Heh, leave this to me."

Qiu Xue lips curved into a confident smile as she leaped down. With a graceful landing, her bare feet lightly touched the ground.

"YOU… ARE… NOT… WELCOME... HERE!"

Razor growled in his usual fragmented speech, his stance fierce and protective.

"Hehehe... Even a mere lingering spirit of a wolf still clings to its old habits nurturing its kin."

The Abyss Herald sneered, his gaze shifting from Razor to Boreas.

"Do you wish to act as a guardian?"

"But his power is nothing compared to the claws the God of War once wielded."

His voice dripped with disdain.

"However, if you submit to us…"

"You shall reclaim the power to stand among the gods—just as you once did."

The Abyss Herald words were filled with unwavering confidence as he addressed Boreas directly.

"Lies…"

Boreas massive form stared down at the Abyss Herald, his deep voice slow and resolute.

" They are born as gods."

"Attaining divinity through a Vision, or through a Gnosis, is different."

"Gods are born alongside their divine authority and power."

"Those who ascend through a Vision or a Gnosis hold no such authority."

Qiu Xue stroked her chin, murmuring to herself. She was genuinely curious—how exactly did the Abyss plan to restore Boreas godly body and divine authority?

Even for her, reviving a demon god required a significant price. And this was not just any god, but the powerful Andrius.

"Well... except for the God of Salt."

"But even the weakest of the Salt Gods still possessed divine authority."

Qiu Xue absentmindedly ran her delicate fingers along her chin, a hint of surprise in her thoughts.

Even if the Salt God was weak, she still had the ability to produce salt infinitely a power in its own right.

If the Abyss truly had the ability to restore Andrius, then why did they need her power in the first place?

"Could it be... that they're just bluffing?"

Her lips twitched at the thought. After all, anyone can make empty promises.

Remaining hidden, Qiu Xue quietly observed the scene, deep in thought.

"What kind of ritual is this?! It looks painful!"

Paimon voice was laced with worry as she stared at Boreas, trapped within a massive violet ring, his body wracked with agony.

"Ugh… is this like the corruption that controlled Dvalin mind?!"

She clutched her hands together nervously.

"Wolves do not yield. But this cannot continue."

Razor growled, his stance aggressive, eyes locked onto the Abyss Herald.

Qiu Xue snapped out of her thoughts.

"I've been thinking too much..."

"Forgot there was still a battle going on in front of me."

She rubbed her forehead with a wry smile before gracefully stepping forward toward Razor and the others.

"I'll take care of it."

"Defeating the Herald again is no big deal."

Lumine raised her Nameless Sword, taking an offensive stance, her golden eyes filled with hostility toward the Abyss Herald.

"Lumine! Paimon!"

A sweet, feminine voice rang out from behind them.

Just as Lumine was about to charge forward, she paused, slowly turning her head toward the voice.

"Qiu Xue?!"

Paimon also turned around, eyes widening as she saw the elegant figure approaching.

Qiu Xue walked toward them, her long, slender legs moving gracefully with each step.

"Another one rushing to their death?"

The Abyss Herald scoffed.

"No matter how many times you struggle, your efforts will be in vain!"

As soon as he finished speaking, he lunged forward.

"Submit to the Abyss!"

Qiu Xue furrowed her delicate brows and casually swung her hand the motion as effortless as a calligrapher brushing ink onto paper.

A monochrome arc of energy flowed like ink on a scroll, cutting through the air toward the charging Herald.

Realizing the strange attack, the Herald eyes widened in alarm, he tried to stop mid-charge.

But it was too late.
