Chapter 230: Yae Miko Can't Hold Back Her Laughter

Yae Miko stroked her chin in thought for a moment, then let out a light chuckle.

"Indeed, you're right."

She said with a smile to Lumine and Paimon.

"Even if they occasionally gain some advantage against the Shogunate forces on the battlefield, when truly facing the Raiden Shogun..."

"Those troops composed of people whose Visions have been inlaid into the statue."

Yae Miko continued, hands on her hips.

"They might just be little more than small fry."

"Don't put it so bluntly!"

Paimon protested.

"The Traveler is still the captain of the Swordfish II squad!"

"Besides, we've already witnessed power at the level of gods."

"It's truly terrifying."

Paimon added, turning to look at Qiu Bai with awe.

"Hehe, I don't mean to belittle them. Rather..."

"It's precisely because of their smallness, precisely because they've lost their Visions, that their resolve is even more precious."

Yae Miko explained with a gentle laugh.

"In any case, if things go according to plan they're still a group that can be quite helpful."

She continued with a smile.

"No matter what, with Qiu Bai involved in this plan, it's reassuring."

Paimon said, looking at Yae Miko and then at Qiu Bai beside her.

"Hahaha..."

Qiu Bai laughed, crossing his arms.

"By universal reasoning, I suppose so."

"Qiu Bai, if your power wasn't suppressed to one percent by that space called the Plane of Euthymia, perhaps we wouldn't even need to get involved."

Lumine said with a nod.

"The Plane of Euthymia suppresses power to one percent?"

Yae Miko asked, confused, looking first at Lumine and then at Qiu Bai.

"What does that mean?"

"Ahem..."

Qiu Bai awkwardly scratched his head with one finger under Yae Miko scrutiny.

"It means that Qiu Bai said earlier that his power would be suppressed to one percent in that space."

Paimon explained, spreading her tiny hands.

"That's why he couldn't defeat the Raiden Shogun. Lumine didn't feel it because it only affects gods."

"Oh?"

Yae Miko looked at Lumine, then at Paimon, and finally fixed her gaze on Qiu Bai with a questioning expression.

"Pfft~"

"Hahahahaha~"

Yae Miko couldn't hold back her laughter at the sight of Qiu Bai awkwardly scratching his head with one finger.

She held her stomach, laughing so hard that tears nearly came to her eyes.

"L-Lady Guuji, what's so funny?"

Paimon asked, puzzled by Yae Miko outburst.

"Hahahahaha~"

"You two little ones are so gullible! I'm going to die laughing~"

Yae Miko managed between fits of laughter.

"Gullible?"

"What do you mean?"

Lumine asked, confused.

"I mentioned earlier that housing consciousness within objects was something I taught to Ei."

Yae Miko explained, still amused.

"If it could suppress gods, why wouldn't it suppress Ei as well? In that case, couldn't I have solved the Vision Hunt Decree problem all by myself?"

"You, you mean?!"

Paimon looked from Yae Miko to Qiu Bai angrily.

"This guy was tricking us all along? He wasn't using his full power in that space at all!"

"Qiu Bai..."

Lumine gave him a disapproving look.

"Hahaha..."

Qiu Bai laughed.

"Don't look at me like that. I really couldn't defeat her."

"Qiu Bai, you've tricked us many times already."

Paimon stomped her foot angrily.

"We absolutely won't fall for it again!"

"Won't fall for it again."

Lumine repeated, hands on her hips, eyes narrowed as she turned her head away in annoyance.

"According to what you're saying, Qiu Bai only used one percent of his power."

Yae Miko said thoughtfully, stroking her chin.

"Yet he could still hold his own against Ei in the Plane of Euthymia, where she relies solely on martial skill and weaponry..."

"So if... he were to use one hundred percent of his power..."

Yae Miko looked at Lumine and Paimon in astonishment.

"Wouldn't that mean he could defeat Ei with just one finger?"

She had thought Qiu Bai was a powerful deity, but she hadn't imagined he would be this strong!

This was Ei they were talking about, the divine being who had split Yashiori Island in two with a single stroke of her blade through her supreme martial prowess.

"What a curious god you are~"

Yae Miko turned to Qiu Bai with a smile.

"Could your current power rival that of Ei 'big brother'?"

After all, according to Ei description on that stone tablet, she seemed to have fallen for this 'big brother.'

"Rival the big brother? What does that mean?"

Paimon asked, puzzled.

"And who is this 'big brother'?"

"The big brother..."

Yae Miko glanced at Qiu Bai, and after seeing him nod, she turned her attention back to Lumine and Paimon.

"Well, let me tell you about it."

She then proceeded to explain the identity of the 'big brother' how he had subdued eighteen archon while mortally wounded, and his relationship with the young Raiden Ei and Raiden Makoto in the past.

"W-what?!"

Paimon could barely speak from shock.

"Subdued eighteen archon while mortally wounded?!"

She shook her head vigorously and looked at Qiu Bai in amazement.

They had already experienced the oppressive presence of Osial.

"Eighteen of them..."

Paimon continued, shaking her head again.

She couldn't even imagine such a scene.

Beside her, Lumine listened with her mouth agape, equally astonished as she stared at Qiu Bai.

"That, that means the previous Qiu Bai."

"At his peak, could have single-handedly ended the entire Archon War!"

Paimon turned to Yae Miko, stunned.

"The current Qiu Bai is already terrifying enough..."

Lumine said, frowning as she looked at Qiu Bai beside her.

"To think the past Qiu Bai was so powerful."

"And what about the Irminsul? What is the Irminsul?"

Lumine asked Qiu Bai curiously.

The Irminsul could apparently erase the memories of all living beings in Teyvat.
