Regina tumbled into the seat beside him, and before she could even react, Waldo's long arm wrapped around her, trapping her in place. In an instant, his handsome face loomed close to hers...
"What are you doing?" Regina gasped, her eyes wide with alarm. She instinctively recoiled, but the back of the sofa blocked her retreat, leaving her with nowhere to go.
Waldo's face stopped just an inch away from hers. A wicked smile curled at the corner of his lips, and his wolf-like eyes, dark and intense, locked onto her. His cold, stoic expression briefly flickered with a touch of slyness, but it was fleeting, almost imperceptible.
The proximity was overwhelming. Their breaths were audible, and Regina's heart raced, her pulse echoing in her ears. She was trapped, both physically and emotionally, as if her breath had been stolen away.
