Greg couldn't help but glance at the bedroom door of Regina, then lifted his feet to follow Waldo into the study. As he walked behind, his mind wandered, wondering if Waldo's delay was due to an insignificant matter, distracting him from the more important tasks at hand.
By the time they entered the study, a man in a black suit was sitting in the chair, his legs casually crossed, a devil-may-care smile on his lips. As they entered, he slowly rose without haste.
"alpha!" Douglas called out casually, though with a touch of respect. At thirty years old, he held immense admiration for this man, who was younger than him. Douglas was never one to submit easily, but with Waldo... he had done something he once thought impossible.
But he had no regrets. Following Waldo meant constant surprises, as though each day held the potential for something unexpected. That sense of exhilaration... it was addictive!
