Chapter 29- Frank

The masked man fell silent again, his gaze fixed on the ruins ahead, covered in a thick blanket of snow. He remained silent for a long time. Just as Carey was about to ask again, the man spoke softly, "I don't want to confront him head-on, for now."

Carey furrowed his thick black brows, confused. "Richard, he's already showing us no respect. If we only deal with that mate... aren't we letting our brothers down?"

As soon as his words fell, Richard suddenly turned, and the darkness in his eyes beneath the mask was terrifying. He coldly said, "Let them down? Hmph. Who has that in mind? Then... you can stop following me."

Carey flinched, hurriedly lowering his head. "Yes, I understand."

"Take care of that mate... thoroughly," Richard's voice was dark, laced with an edge of malice. "Remember, I don't want to face Waldo directly."

"Understood!" Carey responded again with respect, but then asked, "What about the deputy director?"
