"No share for you!" Regina glared, her eyes narrowed in irritation.

"Then I'll just eat Waldo's portion…" Martin grinned mischievously.

"You..." Regina's chest rose and fell in anger. She had initially thought well of Martin, but after the whole money-lending incident, her impression of him had soured drastically—even though he wasn't obligated to help her.

Martin's grin deepened, his expression growing more sinister. He suddenly leaned forward, his voice dropping to a private murmur that only Regina could hear, "A game is just a game. Don't get unnecessary emotions involved. In the end... it'll be you who gets hurt, understand?"
