Chapter 5: Exploration

Seeing Harry Potter looking downcast, Light patted him on the shoulder with a smile and said, "You're my friend. I'll ask for your help when I need it."

"As long as clothes can keep me covered, that's good enough for me. Magic is much more appealing to me! So you have to wait while I go to the second-hand store and take a look."

After saying that, he took Harry Potter out of the door to find Hagrid who was waiting outside the robe shop.

After hearing what Light said, Hagrid's small eyes widened. It seemed as if he was trying to remember where the second-hand store was.

Hagrid began to recall. He vaguely recalled that someone had said that the goods in the second-hand store there were in pretty good condition.

After a moment, Hagrid started to lead the way.

Then they followed Hagrid to the second-hand store and found a cauldron in decent condition and a set of glass bottles.

Finally, they went to the second-hand bookstore and bought all the Textbooks. After Light finished shopping, he only had five Galleons left in his hand.

For Harry Potter, it was even simpler. He just went into the store and had everything packed. He didn't need to haggle like Light at all.

At the orphanage gate, Hagrid gently patted Light on the shoulder to say goodbye.

Facing Hagrid, Light smiled and said, "Thank you for your help today, Hagrid."

Then, he turned around and stretched out his right hand to Harry Potter, who quickly reached out his hand as well.

While shaking hands, Light said with a smile, "My friend, we part here. See you at Hogwarts."

Harry Potter nodded and said, "Okay. See you in a while."

In the twilight, Light watched Hagrid and Harry Potter walk away into the distance.

Carrying big and small bags, Light heard a voice as soon as he entered the door.

"Light, you're back. How was it? Did everything go smoothly today?" Mrs. Cott asked anxiously.

"Everything went smoothly. I've bought all the things. Just sit back and wait for the school to start in September."

Light comforted Mrs. Cott. Hearing this, Mrs. Cott also let out a sigh of relief.

Light wasn't the least bit surprised. After all, in Mrs. Cott's over sixty years of life, she had never witnessed magic!

After dinner, Light started to pack his things.

He put the black robe, the cauldron, the glass bottles, and the Textbooks in their respective places, hid the wand close to his body, and then tidied up the room.

Lying on his small bed, Light took a deep breath to calm himself down and delved his spirit into his mind.

When he opened his eyes again, a lofty stone stele engraved with enigmatic words appeared in front of him.

Light looked at the stone stele. Streams upon streams of information emanated from the stele, weaving into understandable words.
