Just as they were talking, Hulk grabbed a tank's barrel with both hands and hurled it hard toward a helicopter hovering above.
The tank narrowly missed the aircraft — but now it was tumbling directly toward Kai and Tony.
Kai's eyes widened. "Oh no..."
Without hesitation, Kai opened a portal and leapt through it, narrowly avoiding the flying tank.
He turned back to warn Tony — but it was too late.
Tony, still standing frozen in disbelief, was struck by the tank's side and sent crashing through a two-story building.
Kai hurried over to the wreckage. Seeing Tony buried in debris, he couldn't help but mutter, "Wow... Hulk's really packing power today."
From under the rubble, Tony's voice groaned, "Ahem... Kai, you just gonna stand there, or are you planning to help me out?"
Kai chuckled. "Tony, it's just a small pile of bricks. What happened to your fancy suit? Don't tell me you've turned into a helpless kid."
With a loud *bang*, Tony blasted away the debris with his repulsor and flew out of the wreckage, flipping Kai the middle finger as he hovered.
"Thanks for the concern," Tony quipped.
Kai grinned. "Glad to see you're still lively."
"Yeah, yeah," Tony muttered. "Now if you'll excuse me, I've got an oversized avocado to deal with."
Tony rocketed toward Hulk, clearly eager for a rematch.
Kai watched for a moment, then shifted his focus to the battlefield's surroundings. Civilians were still scrambling to escape, some trapped or injured. Deciding Tony could handle himself for now, Kai went to work clearing the area and rescuing anyone in danger.
Once the crowd was safe, Kai returned to check on Tony — only to see things weren't going as planned.
Instead of using his suit's agility, Tony kept testing Hulk's strength in direct combat. Hulk, immune to physical damage, was steadily overpowering Tony, whose armor was taking serious hits.
Seeing Tony slammed across the street, Kai dashed over and caught him before he crashed into a lamppost.
"Hey, Tony, you alright?"
Tony staggered to his feet, coughing. "Yeah... I'm good."
Kai frowned. "Why are you fighting him head-on? I 'told' you how strong he is!"
Tony shrugged sheepishly. "Yeah... but I couldn't help myself. Come on, how often do you get to test something like *that*?"
Before Kai could respond, a figure suddenly tumbled from a helicopter above.
The battlefield seemed to pause as everyone — even Hulk — turned to watch.
The fallen figure began to shift and distort, transforming into a grotesque, yellowish creature. Its spine protruded, its skin thickened, and its face twisted into something barely human.
Compared to this new monster, Hulk almost looked... handsome.
The creature — Abomination — wasted no time. Before Hulk could react, Abomination landed a powerful punch, sending the green giant flying.
"Uh... Kai?" Tony muttered. "Why is there a 'second' giant monster on the loose?"
Kai sighed. "That's Abomination... General Ross's idea of a 'better Hulk.' Guess he didn't get the memo about playing with fire."
Tony groaned. "Great. Now there's two of them punching each other. Guess I can take a break now."
Kai chuckled, but his mind quickly turned serious. He recalled how this had all started.
Banner had visited Professor Samuel Stern — "Mr. Blue" — at Lyme University to test a possible cure for the Hulk. Samuel's serum seemed to suppress the Hulk temporarily, turning Banner back to normal.
But before they could celebrate, Ross's men stormed the lab. Amid the chaos, Emil Blonsky — injured but desperate for power — forced Samuel to inject him with Banner's gamma-irradiated blood. That's how Abomination came to be.
Recalling this, Kai turned to Tony. "Keep an eye on those two. I've got something to check out."
With that, Kai opened a portal and teleported directly to Samuel Stern's lab.
Sure enough, he found Professor Stern unconscious, sprawled on the floor where Abomination had left him.
"Well... no rush," Kai muttered, dragging a chair over to wait for Samuel to wake up.
