Arriving at the Battlefield

---

After hearing about General Ross and the big monster in the news, Kai immediately realized it had to be the Hulk.

He was thrilled — this had to be the final battle from the movie.

Kai recalled that Bruce Banner became the Hulk after an experiment with gamma rays went wrong at Corvo University. Fearing he'd lose control again, Banner fled to Brazil and went into hiding, working at a beverage factory while secretly corresponding with "Mr. Blue" online to find a cure. Unfortunately, some of Banner's blood accidentally ended up in a drink bottle that was shipped to New York, alerting General Ross to his whereabouts.

Now, hearing about this fight, Kai knew Abomination's appearance wouldn't be far off.

Yinsen and Tony noticed Kai standing frozen, lost in thought. Concerned, they walked over.

"Hey, Kai, what's wrong?" Yinsen asked.

Kai snapped out of it and saw Yinsen's worried expression. Nearby, Tony muttered, "Hmm... maybe we should just call a helicopter and get Kai to a hospital."

"Relax, Tony. I'm fine," Kai assured them. "I just remembered something important."

Tony frowned. "Well, whatever it is, it sure got you worked up. What's going on?"

Kai took a breath. "Did you hear about that big guy fighting the army in the news?"

Tony shrugged. "Yeah... I think so?"

Kai leaned closer. "Do you want to see what real, unlimited physical power looks like?"

That got Tony's attention. "Wait, you're talking about that green monster?"

"Yep. And if we don't hurry, we might miss the whole thing."

Tony glanced at Pepper. After a moment of hesitation, he said, "Pepper, you and Yinsen stay here on the boat. Don't worry, I'll have Jarvis keep everything stable. Kai and I will go check things out — we'll be back soon."

He turned to Jarvis. "Jarvis, keep this boat steady and make sure Pepper and Yinsen are safe."

"Understood, sir."

With everything sorted, Tony gave Kai the signal to open a portal. Without wasting time, Kai conjured a space gate that led to a street near the battlefield. The two of them stepped through.

As soon as they arrived, the sounds of explosions, gunfire, and deafening roars shook the air. The ground trembled beneath their feet.

Tony's eyes widened. "Ross is insane! He's firing live rounds right in the city?"

Kai gestured toward the chaos. "I guess that's why."

Tony followed Kai's gaze — and froze.

"Holy crap... what *is* that?" Tony blurted out. "Did something from a horror movie just come to life?"

Kai rolled his eyes. "That's the guy I was talking about — Hulk. As long as he's angry, his strength keeps growing."

Tony's face twisted in disbelief. "You're serious? That's... insane."

"You've already seen magic. Why are you still acting so surprised?" Kai shot back.

"Yeah, well," Tony huffed, "it's still crazy."

They both turned back to the scene. Hulk was tearing through military vehicles, sending debris flying. Civilians were caught in the chaos, some injured, some trapped.

Tony clenched his fists. "We can't just stand here. Those people need help."

"You're thinking what I'm thinking?" Kai asked with a grin.

"Absolutely."

Kai stepped back, opened another portal, and gestured for Tony. "Go suit up."

In seconds, Tony was gone. Moments later, he returned in his Iron Man suit, landing with a metallic thud.

"Wow," Tony said, flexing his armored fingers. "Your portal trick really is the ultimate shortcut."
