WHERE'S MY HAMMER

---

Kai waved at Coulson, signaling him over.

"Of course, come on. We're about to head out."

Coulson quickly walked over, and after Kai asked Tony for the exact coordinates, he teleported all three of them.

In the blink of an eye, they appeared near a beam of light streaking down from the sky.

The moment their feet touched the ground—

Bang!

Kai instantly knew what had happened. Someone had just been hit by a car.

Tony heard it too. He increased the power on his suit's headlights, illuminating the area in a bright glow that stretched for dozens of meters.

As the lights clicked on, Tony spoke first.

"Hey, folks! Late-night dinner out here?"

Then he took in the scene properly.

A car sat at a stop, with two women and an older man huddled around someone lying on the ground.

Hearing Tony's voice, the three startled figures turned toward him. Their eyes widened in shock.

"You—you're Tony Stark?" the older man stammered.

Tony smirked. "Oh, you know me?"

"Of course!" The man stepped forward, offering a handshake. "I'm Professor Erik Selvig. These are my students, Jane and Darcy."

Tony extended the Iron Man suit's hand and shook Erik's. "So, what brings you out here?"

Selvig explained, "Jane detected some anomalies in this area, so she dragged us here to take measurements. Then this beam of light appeared. There was too much dust in the air, and we didn't see… well, him." He gestured to the man lying on the ground.

Tony nodded in understanding. Just as he was about to reply—

"HAMMER! WHERE'S MY HAMMER?"

The sudden outburst startled everyone.

Kai and Tony turned to look at the dust-covered, blond-haired man flailing on the ground.

Tony gave Kai a look that clearly said: *This guy? This is the Thor you were talking about? The mighty God of Thunder?*

Kai met his gaze and subtly nodded: *Yep. That's him.*

Tony sighed. His image of Thor was completely shattered.

Jane, meanwhile, thought the man was just drunk. "Okay, we get it. You've been drinking. It's obvious."

The man ignored her. He climbed to his feet, staggering slightly as he turned his gaze toward the sky.

"Heimdall! I know you can hear me! Open the Bifrost!"

Silence.

Finally, he looked around at the group.

"You! What realm is this?"

Coulson finally spoke up. "This is New Mexico."

Thor frowned. "Where is that? I have never heard of it."

Kai resisted the urge to roll his eyes.

Then he remembered what the Ancient One had told him—to watch over Thor.

"Alright, Coulson, someone asked me to look after him. Leave this to me," Kai said.

Coulson, sensing that Kai had things under control, stepped back.

Thor turned to Kai. "Mortal, tell m—"

Before he could finish, Kai flicked his fingers, casting a quick spell.

Thud!

Thor collapsed onto the ground, unconscious.

Kai exhaled. "Ah, finally. Some peace and quiet."

When he turned back, he saw Coulson and Tony staring at him.

"...What?" Kai asked, wiping his face. "Do I have something on my face?"

Coulson blinked. "You—you just—"

Tony crossed his arms. "Kai, is *that* what you call 'looking after'?"

Kai shrugged. "He was being too loud. He'll wake up soon. No harm done."

Hearing that, everyone relaxed. Jane quickly pulled Erik aside to record the markings left on the ground, while Coulson walked over to talk to Darcy about their research.

Meanwhile, Kai and Tony crouched near Thor's unconscious body.

Since they knew he wasn't human, Tony took the lead.

He pulled out a small bag and plucked a few strands of Thor's hair, storing them inside. Then he activated the scanner in his suit, running a full-body analysis before sending the data to J.A.R.V.I.S. for further examination.

Afterward, Erik and Coulson lifted Thor into the car. Erik turned to them.

"We're taking him to the hospital. Are you coming?"

Kai knew Thor would be fine, but he also saw that Tony and Coulson were curious. So, they all went to a small hospital in town, where the doctors performed a full-body checkup.

As they waited outside for the paperwork to process—

Crash!

A loud commotion erupted inside.

Kai sighed. *Here we go.*

Inside the room, Thor was shouting at the top of his lungs.

"You dare attack the son of Odin?!"

A doctor had simply been trying to stick a needle in his arm.

Now, Thor was trying to shove past the medical staff, only to be restrained by security guards.

Hearing the noise, everyone outside rushed in.

Coulson stepped forward, ready to try talking Thor down.

Kai, however, reached out and stopped him.
