Destroyer

---

Hearing what Kai said to Thor, Thor started to get angry again. Loki, noticing Kai's focus was on Thor, turned invisible, phased through the wall, and left.

Kai watched Loki leave without stopping him. Otherwise, how would Loki send Odin's Destroyer over?

It turned out that Kai's real target now was Odin's Destroyer.

After escaping, Loki returned straight to Asgard. Originally, he had wanted to see if he could lift Mjolnir, but with Kai nearby, he didn't dare delay and fled immediately.

Back in Asgard, Loki began plotting ways to get back at Kai for humiliating him.

Thor, seeing Loki had secretly fled, let out a loud shout to vent his frustration.

At that moment, Kai looked at Thor and said, "Now that you know the real situation, do you still want to keep wallowing in self-pity? Can you imagine what Loki will do now that he's seized control of Asgard under false pretenses? Don't you want to return and see for yourself?"

Kai's words finally shook Thor out of his despair. He turned to Kai and asked, "So, Kai, do you know a way for me to wield Mjolnir again?"

Meanwhile, Loki had arrived in Jotunheim, seeking out Laufey, King of the Frost Giants. There, he proposed a deal—he would allow Laufey to assassinate Odin, even helping him sneak into Asgard. In return, after Odin's death, Loki would hand over the Casket of Ancient Winters.

Laufey agreed, and the two struck a deal.

When Loki returned to Asgard, Heimdall grew suspicious of Loki's recent actions and his whereabouts.

Though Heimdall could not openly defy the orders of the new "king," he summoned Sif and the Warriors Three. The four had been spending their days drinking and feasting in boredom. Heimdall didn't say much but left his sword behind—the key to operating the Bifrost.

Taking the hint, Sif and the Warriors Three used the Bifrost to travel to Earth.

Loki, of course, saw all of this. Instead of stopping them directly, he went to Odin's vault and activated the Destroyer, commanding it to eliminate Thor on Earth before he could return to Asgard.

Back on Earth, just as Kai was about to answer Thor's question, Jarvis suddenly reported to Tony, "Sir, the same energy signature has been detected again, approximately fifteen miles northwest of here. It matches the signature from when Thor arrived."

At the same time, an agent knocked on the door, reporting to Coulson that S.H.I.E.L.D.'s instruments had also detected the anomaly.

Thor's eyes lit up. "The Bifrost! It must be Heimdall! I have to see who's coming!"

Excited, he stood up and hurried outside.

Kai turned to Tony and said, "Tony, suit up. Go take a look."

Then, he looked at Coulson. "Coulson, evacuate the people here. Things might get messy."

They all moved quickly. When they arrived at the Bifrost landing site, Thor immediately recognized the newcomers—Sif and the Warriors Three.

Overjoyed, Thor ran up and hugged them. "Guys! It's so good to see you!"

Then, he turned to Kai and the others. "This is Sif and the Warriors Three, my closest friends from Asgard. And these are my friends from Earth."

Sif and the others explained why they had come. They needed Thor to return to Asgard to stop Loki's growing madness.

Thor nodded. "I already know what Loki is doing. I've been trying to find a way back."

Just then, another Bifrost beam landed not far from them. As the light faded, a towering figure emerged.

The Destroyer.

The moment they saw it, the expressions of all the Asgardians changed. Even Thor's face darkened.

"That's... that's the Destroyer Armor. How did it get here?"

Thor couldn't believe it. He knew the Destroyer was a weapon only Odin controlled, which meant…

Kai glanced at them. "Alright, stop standing around. Figure out how to deal with it."

Seeing the Asgardians hesitate, he reminded them, "It's just armor. We still have a chance."

Everyone quickly regrouped. Coulson ordered S.H.I.E.L.D. agents to evacuate the entire town, making sure no civilians got caught in the fight.

Meanwhile, Tony, having learned from Kai that the Destroyer was Odin's armor, couldn't help but stare at it with curiosity. His concept of armor was entirely different from Odin's, and he was itching to analyze it.

While everyone was preparing, Sif suddenly noticed something. The Destroyer's body was glowing. Its head shifted slightly, and light began gathering at a slit in its face.

"Move!" Sif shouted, diving to the side.

Kai immediately grabbed Tony and Coulson, pulling them out of the way.

A second later, a devastating blast of energy erupted from the Destroyer's head, obliterating the spot where they had just stood. The explosion tore through the ground, sending debris flying.

The Warriors Three weren't fast enough to dodge, and they were sent tumbling. Thor ran over to check on them.

Kai turned to Tony and Coulson. "Be careful. Don't get hit."

Then, without hesitation, Kai strode toward the Destroyer.

He had been looking for a way to test his strength. And now, the perfect opponent had appeared right in front of him.

Taking advantage of the brief cooldown after the Destroyer's blast, Kai closed the distance in an instant.

Clenching his right fist, he punched the Destroyer's torso with all his strength.

The impact sent the massive armor skidding backward. Its chest dented slightly, but it remained standing.

Kai narrowed his eyes. He had just deformed Uru metal with a single punch. That gave him a good measure of his power.

Before he could think further, the Destroyer turned and fired another energy beam at him.

Kai teleported behind it in an instant. Without giving it a chance to react, he unleashed a flurry of strikes, hammering the Destroyer repeatedly.

With each hit, he also activated his ability, copying the Destroyer exactly and storing it inside his system space.
