Obtaining The Destroyer

---

There was a loud "bang!" and then the wind, clouds, thunder, and lightning in the sky all dispersed and disappeared at once. Thor's figure appeared, and there was only a pile of scrapped and scattered things on the ground beside him. Upon closer inspection, it was the Destroyer Armor.

Kai thought to himself:

"Sure enough, this is definitely Odin controlling the Destroyer. Otherwise, how could it be possible that the Destroyer was blown apart by Thor's ultimate move and turned into a useless state like this?"

However, Kai felt a little resentful in his heart, but he immediately pulled Tony toward Thor and said to him:

"Thor, you see, the Destroyer has been destroyed by you, so what do you think about giving me these useless things?"

After dealing with the Destroyer Armor, Thor was happily showing off to the Asgardians that his power had returned and had even been enhanced to some extent. When he heard Kai's words, Thor turned around and looked at Kai and Tony.

Tony asked Kai,

"Hey, Kai, looks like he's not too willing! But what do you even want to do with this junk?"

Hearing Tony's question, Thor said,

"Kai, you want the remains of the Destroyer?"

Seeing Kai nod, Thor grinned happily.

"In that case, it's simple. You fight me, and whether you win or lose, I'll give you the remains of the Destroyer Armor."

Odin, still in his Odinsleep in Asgard, was almost startled awake when he heard that Thor had just given away the armor. Even though the Destroyer was now a wreck, it still had the potential to be repaired, yet Thor, the reckless son, just gave it away with a few words.

Odin was furious with Thor, but at the same time, he was reluctant to lose so much Uru metal. However, he thought about Thor's performance just now. Clearly, Thor's character and judgment had improved after this trial. Since Thor had agreed to give away the Destroyer Armor, Odin decided to let him do as he wished.

Kai, on the other hand, was full of question marks. He didn't understand why Thor would make such a request.

If he didn't want to give it away, he could just refuse directly instead of making it complicated. And why did he say he'd give it regardless of winning or losing? If he was willing to give it, why insist on fighting first?

At this moment, Tony commented,

"Wow, Kai, looks like Thor is feeling confident now that he got his powers back."

When Kai saw Thor's eager expression, he realized that Thor simply wanted to fight him. If he wanted the Destroyer Armor, he had no choice but to agree to Thor's request.

So, Kai nodded. The two of them then moved to a nearby open, uninhabited area to fight.

Kai said,

"Thor, let's not go all out this time—no extreme powers. Otherwise, the surroundings will take too much damage."

"Agreed," Thor responded.

Neither spoke further. Instead, they stared at each other, trying to anticipate the other's first move. Tony and the others grew anxious watching them, but finally, both fighters moved at the same time.

They rushed toward each other, fists raised, both deciding to fight barehanded.

From an outsider's perspective, Kai and Thor met in the center, each throwing a powerful right hook.

Boom!

Their fists collided, and then they began shifting positions—one attacking, the other defending. But their battle was unlike any normal Earthly fight. Both possessed immense power, and the effects of their strikes were exaggerated beyond normal limits.

For ten minutes, they fought in close combat, exchanging powerful blows. However, Kai ultimately had better endurance, having tempered his body with the power of space and trained to maintain his physical strength for prolonged periods.

As Thor's strength began to wane, Kai suddenly increased his attack speed, launching a rapid barrage of strikes.

Thor was caught off guard. Unable to keep up, he was soon overwhelmed and sent flying by Kai's final blow.

Crashing to the ground, Thor didn't seem angry at all. Instead of getting up immediately, he lay there for a moment before laughing.

"Kai, haha, I almost know your limit now. Just wait—I'll fight you again next time."

Kai walked over, smiling as well.

"Ha, then you'd better work hard. I'm improving fast—you might not be able to catch up with me."

He extended his hand, offering to help Thor up.

Thor took Kai's hand, standing up with his help, and declared,

"Kai, my friend, the Destroyer Armor is now yours!"

Hearing this, Kai grinned. He hadn't expected things to go this smoothly. He had worried that Odin might step in and stop Thor, refusing to let him take the Destroyer Armor.

But it turned out all he had to do was fight Thor, and he got it.

Now, Kai couldn't help but think—there were so many treasures in Odin's vault. If he just fought Thor a few more times...

Well, no. He shook his head. That was completely unrealistic. Did he really think the Asgardians were that simple?

Pushing the ridiculous thought aside, he focused on the present.

However, Coulson, who had been watching, looked like he wanted to say something. He opened his mouth but eventually gave up. He knew Kai well enough to understand—if someone tried to take the Destroyer Armor from him after it had already been given, Kai would never agree.

Coulson decided not to push the issue, but Tony had no such reservations. He walked straight up to Kai and asked,

"Kai, you still haven't answered my question. What exactly do you want this wreckage for?"
